the war started when Iraq refused full access to the u.n. security team searching for nukes in Iraq. this made it seem like they were hiding weapons of mass destruction. both democrats and republicans were in favor of war. if we leave Iraq now, Iran would take over completely.

This is not a simple task of making a list. The Middle East has been a thorn in the side of mankind since end of WWI. The breakup of The Ottoman Empire after "The War to end all Wars" did nothing but create escalating problems as Monarchs and Dictators fought for control. They have spent more time killing each other over their own religion then giving the west a headache. Nations stood back to avoid direct conflict like we are now engaged in and used aid money, food, military equipment and failed diplomacy. As proved by the Iraq/Iran war they cannot even wipe each other out with the rest of the world arming them in hopes that they succed in that one objective.
Over time with all the wealth gained from oil they did nothing to build infrastructure to educate the masses or create real economies. Do a search on "Literacy Rates" one of the sites shows a color coded map of the world. With the exception of Arab Africa, The Middle East has they lowest rates.
They created the Palestinian problem themselves while Isreal became an industrial nation.
They contiue to live in prebiblical mindsets using words like "tribes".
Iran, not Iraq IS the problem, is the target and is the source of funds to continue the self destrcution of Iraq, Lebenon and all that "do not beleive".
It is and has been the policy of the US to create a popular uprising in Iran. Developing democracies on 2 sides of them is not in their game plan.
There was legal justfication to invade Afghanistan after 9/11 and suddenly you are dealt a flush. Iraq is sanctioned and resolutioned to death. Many of the resolutions using "Diplo Speak" for war. The term "Serious Consequence" is a polite way of saying military action is authorized. You can't invade Iran, but Iraq is a gimme. You invade under the authority of enforcing Security Council resolutions and bida bing you switch from poker to chess and have Iran in "check".
Is it about oil? Hell yes!! Is it about keeping the ecomony of the planet as stable as possible? BING...How do you think the cornflakes got to the grocercy store....it was not a mule drawn cart!!!!

You should base your own opinion off of historical facts and not what other people say.

But if you want my opinion I say we're in Iraq for one to shoot off cowards and make Iraq more peaceful, second get revenge from 911, third make Iraq a politically democracy stable country, and fourth to put an end to the roots of middle eastern terrorism.

Against Iraq:
1. Death of many Iraqi innocents and soldiers
2. A lot of money to support the war
3. Might be too much of a mess that might be completely unable to solve in a reasonable amount of time.
