and not just while alive on earth or else how would that be fair to those who grew up never hearing of christ

We will be judged according to our knowledge, hearts and actions and we will all be given an opportunity to accept the plan of salvation if we choose to.

Salvation is available to every person, but will be accepted by only a chosen few. These few are the elect. The source of this seeming contradiction is the notion of time. We exist in time, so for us we have free will and hence salvation is available to each of us while we live. God exists outside of time, He knows what will happen, so from His perspective the few He knows will eventually be saved are the elect.

According to the Scriptures, only those whom the Father draws, comes to Christ.

Joh 6:44 No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

Those whom the Father draws to Christ are the elect, the out called ones, those whose names were written in the Book of Life from before the earth was formed. Salvation is totally monergistic, all a work of God. God chooses, God elects, God selects.

Rom 8:29 because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers.
Rom 8:30 But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

It is fallacious to think the sovereign God needs us to do anything to secure salvation. Christ is not waiting for us to make a decision or validate His work. Look at the conversion of Paul in Acts, who made the decision, God or Paul? Only those chosen out by God, by His grace and mercy, were forgiven by Christ's work on Calvary, and justified by His resurrection. The Bible knows nothing about free will in salvation.
And, if someone uses John 3:16 to prove free will, they have never read the Greek. Hint, the Greek have no word for "whosoever", it is "all", as in "all the believing".

The Bible says that we have the free will choice – all we have to do is believe in Jesus Christ and we will be saved (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10). The Bible never describes God rejecting anyone who believes in Him or turning away anyone who was seeking Him (Deuteronomy 4:29). Somehow, in the mystery of God, predestination works hand in hand with a person being drawn by God (John 6:44) and believing unto salvation (Romans 1:16). God predestines who will be saved, and we must choose Christ in order to be saved.

Everyone. You become the elect once you learn of Christ's commandments and keep them. You can also become unelected if you apostatize and rebel after knowing the truth.

1 Cor. 9: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

There is no respect of persons with God.
There's only respect of persons against God.

The world has always been round: globe-all.
Reconciliation unto God is a global matter.
Till then we all are one are all grounded.

Only what began can end. Law began.
Grace has neither beginning nor end.

When the God shew is ended properly, none perish.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Do you spot that one and all the examples are easy movements, following the regulation. you spot, Christians stick to the bible the place it says we aren't to any extent further to stay below the regulation, we are to stay with the aid of faith. Romans 4:15-sixteen John sixteen, that the comforter will stay interior believers. basically a Spirit can stay interior someone. additionally definite the Spirit grew to become into already there, despite the fact that it grew to become into no longer living interior the believers yet. So, definite the comforter is the Holy Spirit. maximum severely, Muslims have not got self belief who Jesus somewhat is. Jesus is God the Son. John a million:a million interior the start grew to become into the interest, and the interest grew to become into with God and the interest grew to become into God. He grew to become into with God interior the start. good right here it says that the interest grew to become into God. The word all of us understand is Jesus. how are you able to stay with somebody you have not got self belief? Matthew 20:18-19 Jesus stated.. they'll condemn Him to loss of life. and could hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. on the 0.33 day he would be raised to life! The Quran denies the very words of Jesus!

boy, this is difficult. like the proverbial chicken and egg debate, GOD has chosen to reveal himself to the elect, but he wishes everyone to come to him.
on the other hand, we all have freedom to choose. and yet before this, GOD has chosen us even before we were created.
From the human perspective, I have to say we are free to choose GOD and become his possession, But from the Divine perspective, it has all been foreseen, and planned accordingly.
Yes, Christianity is open to every person, but not every person will be willing to see or understand. for instance, Pharaoh was raised to be Egypt, and refused to bend his knee to GOD, even with all the miracles that were presented to him in God's name. He had to let Israel go, and with his kingdoms wealth, but he would not bow to GOD. Personal choice or divine providence?
I think both.

Salvation is available to all, but there will only be a portion who accept it. One might call that portion the elect.
