That's some dry logic. I like it.

Hmm, interesting. You know what, here is my response: even if He is dead, even if He is not alive and at the right hand of the Father, why would He die upon the cross 2000 years ago? Why would He choose not to wiggle His way out of the suit filed by the Jews and judged by Pontius Pilate? I am willing to bet that you consider me a religious freak by now, someone who does not test what they are told but blindly believes everything they hear from the pew on Sunday. I am not one of these people. There are several reasons why I believe in Jesus Christ. One: We sit upon a ball of rock and water with a core of molten iron. We have another ball of rock in orbit around us that controls our tide. We orbit an enormous sphere of fire in the center of our galaxy. Our atmoshpere contains the EXACT mixture of gases needed to sustain life and keep us from suffocating or burning alive. If any of these things were off by the slightest margin, the Earth and life as we know it would be destroyed. What are the chances that a random event (say, the Big Bang) could fine tune all these dials to the precise measurements that they have to be to sustain life? Two: Over one hundred prophecies were made about Jesus the Christ hundreds of years before he was born, all of which came true. Three: How do you account for the biblical prophecies (which I would be happy to discuss with you privately) that have been fulfilled? And Four: I have had my own personal experience with Christ, that I will not share here. My faith in Jesus and God is absolute, as is my devotion to them, but because of my own experiences and research, not because of what a preacher says in a pulpit. But you are right about one thing: there are no bones left at this time, because Jesus the Christ rose the third day after His death as the Scriptures predicted.

Actually, Jeshua (Jesus) did exist...there is proof (pliny the younger and a historian wrote about him and his followers several years after his death. which was not 'over 2000 years ago,' but approximately 1978-1982 years ago b/c he was born around 6 CE and died in his 30's.
On a related note, my mother died 6 years ago. She loved me then, and though she isn't here in earthly form, I feel her love for me now.
I don't believe Jesus was God or that it is necessarily his responsibility or want to love me, but if he did then, he probably does now--in whatever form he holds.

I don't imagine he's too fond of the folks who drive big honking SUV's with little fish decals on the back, in two lanes at once, shouting expletives at the rest of God's creatures for changing lanes in front of them while talking on their cell phones and flicking their ciggies out the window.
Those show up like clockwork every Sunday but don't spend too much time thinking about love thy neighbor the rest of the time.
It is just my opinion... but *I*'d have a hard time loving someone like that.

I am Jewish and therefore do not worship Jesus but must reply. Why must you feel compelled to downplay Jesus to our Christian community It only makes them more indignent to the rest of us.
