The ones in prison seem to pray more often, and with more sencerity.

That's a tough question to answer. The prisoners pray more often because of two things. Either that person is truly sorry for his crime or he is trying to be the "good" prisoner and try to get out on a early release. How would you tell if that person is lying?

Yes because they are being humbled to the point that they can do nothing else. People on the outside have to many choices in life and do not know their priorities

DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

How do you know? Were you in both places?

I would actually agree. Christians in churches often are there through tradition. Christians in prison have little to think themselves for, and rely on God more it would seem.

So in the places of hardship, people tend to be more real. They have to rely on God, their life sucks. The irony is; they probably are closer to God as well. Those who have no doubt that they are sinners are closer to God than those who do noting but attempt to 'make themselves better' for God.

the ones in prison are criminals. true christians don't make a practice of being felons.

they can repent, of course, but a true christian is recognized by his fruits. namely love joy peace long-suffering kindness goodness faith mildness self control.............against such things there is no law.

neither. a true christian is too busy helping his fellow man to go to church and is too involved in society to commit crime. Sadly, most "true christians" aren't christian at all but atheist, simply because they don't care what anyone else thinks of them, they just go about their lives.
