There is some good evidence to support the Big Bang theory, which includes the background temperature of free space. Its a theory, I don't "believe" in it, because I'd rather not elevate scientific understanding to the status of a religion. I do think the theory is likely to be true though.
Im open to the possibility of a God, but not the God of the Bible, the Koran or the Talmud, more in the sense of a universally manifest awareness. I believe in this some days more than others. I have some evidence for this belief, but nothing approaching proof. I'm comfy with it.
What about you?

I believe in the big bang theory cause with the right telescope you can see the way the galaxies are still moving away from each other and the way the light has been travaling years ago.. Its not solid its a theory.. thats why I believe it more than I believe in god..
I cant see god with any kind of telescope and to most people got is not a theory,, god is a fact.. unquestionable fact.. and thats what I dont like.

I'm with the poster that said God (in my case Gods) and M theory.... (which does not negate the Big Bang theory BTW).
The Divine principle in the Multiverse could very well be the "Prime Mover" that caused our Universe to come into being. I was not there, so I will not say that Divinity as cause is impossible.
Also, The Big Bang Theory is a wonderful album by STYX where that band performs covers of songs that influenced them musically......

The two beliefs are not mutually exclusive. Did not the Pope some time ago praise the Big Bang theory as scientific evidence of an act of creation?

The big bang theory is just that, a THEORY. And a theory is something that is currently lacking in Proof!
So to talk about a theory is fine but to talk about a stupid theory like the big bang is like talking about the Jedi making the universe. The status is the same as that. It is not worth anything.
Don't forget that these "theory" guys are on Afghan weed and come up with tosh every now and again.
There is NO scientific proof to back up the big bang theory. It is all fantasy and speculation like the other big theory - of evolution. Another piece of tosh.
People say they cant believe in God but they believe in a piece of science fiction rubbish that even Stephen Speilberg wont touch because it is too far out.

I believe in God.
One reason (one of many) is that the "big bang theory" is not a theory. By the basic rules of the scientific method, In order for it to be a theory, there would have to be some sort of hypothesis to explain the source of the big bang. There is none. No scientist has a logical explaination, not even a good suggestion, to suggest the cause of the "big bang," and the supposed "instantaneous appearance" of all the matter in the universe from nothing.
That leaves creation and the existence of God as the ONLY theory on universal origins. That seems pretty conclusive to me.

God of cause. Only a fool would believe that the world is only here by chance.
Also their is more prove that Gos is real than the big bang theory.
A theory is only an idea, a possibility.

why does it matter.
I just live my life as I believe,
to think about what theory I believe in does my head in.
Theories have beginnings, middles and ends, if so buts, and wherefore, therefore, what so ever, relative to, under this, it is too much for me.
I believe there is God, I believe I know what the big black hole is, I believe that the planets energetically affect all that is, I believe and understand repulsion, and attraction, but I don't know about the big bang. I don't think it has to necessary be an all-at-once-ness, if that is what that is. But then it could be true, I just don't know and don't really care at this point. God is all, creator, and when I'm done here, I'm going home to all that is, God.
I'm happy in my ignorance and bliss, on this subject.
Bless you for the question.

Where is the evidence of the big bang theory? How can a Christian say I believe in the Big Bang Theory? When the Bible disproves it. Every Christian hearted person can prove that the Bible comes form God by their own Testimony. Where are the links that show you that a bird popped out of a reptile egg?
