he's in the A unit orriginally and was sent to deploy with the B unit. he's in iraq now with the B unit. the A unit's mob date is in october. so i don't know if he's technically still with the A unit or if he will be with the B unit from here on out. i don't understand why he is with the B unit in the first place.

while he will most likely come back with the unit is he currently with, it is possible he will be sent right back over with his home unit. he might have like 30 days at home before being sent back. This is something he needs to coordinate with both units himself.

First of all you need to get in touch with your FRG leader or POC. She will beable to get with the rear-d command to answer what they can if she doesn't already know. This will help take some stress off of you. But you really need to sit back take a deep breath and relax. If you have a good friend thats an army wife talk to her...she's going through or has gone through the same thing! You can't be in a constant state of worry. You will make your self sick. believe me been there done that! Now let me see if I am understanding you. When you say his original unit is that his unit from your base? Lets just say 1-23 as an example. And the currant unit he is with, was he attached to a differnt unit when he got to Iraq ex, -3-21? Are we talking about different regions in iraq or what? You weren't 100% clear with your question....those things to make a big difference in what will happen. The unit your husband is with can be extended, that would cause him to stay longer. Anyway, I can't tell you much about R&R my husband didn't get that when he was there. However talking w/ him sgt should clarify that..he will beable to tell him if he is getting R&R or not. The best thing you can do is get in contact with your FRG. They will beable to help alot!! Don't go straight to the Rear-D commanders by the way....go through the proper channels so you don't cause trouble!! Good luck. And just releax. If you can go get a massage. And like I said find a good friend you talk to too! Believe me it gets better!!

Relax, your husband is coming home with the unit he is deployed with. I served in the reserves, and we had these issues all the time. You belong to the unit you deploy with until you demob, and if the unit he originally belonged to is already in the sandbox, they have his replacement already.

The military usually adds days to deployments due to undermanning. Yes, he will have to stay for the newly ordered time. If his line-number is up, he will get promoted. It is a great thing to get promoted in the desert as it is a tax-free zone (even better to reelinst).
