If you were not on a public road and the gas station had no damage I think the cops have no interest in that situation.
Insurance, minus your deductible, will cover that. If they will pay enough after the deductible then it is worth reporting. Allstate however has a bad reputation for dropping people who file claims. They left Massachusetts (and are not in "All-States") after that reputation got them in trouble.

Well without a report you cannot collect on insurance...you need a report from the police. I technically is a reportable accident --that is over 500 dollars damage. AND you left the scene and that is a ticketable offense. Even though the pole seemed to be OK, you could have damaged something on the pole--some equipment or wires. Showing them the pole now won't mean anything--you could point to any pole...they won't know. So fix the vehicle yourself and avoid the troubles I mentioned. If you try to collect, they will think you might have hit another car and took off--your story could also be a fraud and that is also an indictable offense--you have a lot of serious issues and you are close to opening a can of worms on yourself. An accident is an accident whether it is a car that you hit or a fence or a pole--it is someones property and you hit it--you need to report it. Not only will your rates go up--you will probably be dropped---and all insurance companies talk to one another--you will find it difficult to get coverage--you better save up some cash and fix it yourself...or junk it and buiy another vehicle.

You're right, there is no need to call the police unless you caused damage to the pole.
If you carry collision coverage, your insurance will cover this. Unfortunately, this will be considered an at-fault loss, which will result in increased premiums.
Comprehensive coverage is not the correct term or type of coverage to take care of your loss. Comprehensive is for "acts of nature" like wind, hail, lightning, etc...you must carry first party collision coverage for Allstate to pay.
The way it will work is your insurance (provided you have the proper coverage), will estimate the damages and cut a check less whatever your deductible may be. If your car is still financed, you will get a check written copayable to the registered owner and the body shop of your choice.
Glad you're ok-if there is such a thing as the "best" kind of accident, surely this qualifies (no one else involved, no one hurt)! :D

Hitting and disciplining are 2 quite a few issues. And if executed sparingly and as a form of self-discipline, toddlers do no longer affiliate spanking as hitting. i became spanked as quickly as in a great on an identical time as, as a baby, in no way did I affiliate my fathers self-discipline with hitting others or being a bully. And at 5'10 and arranged to bench 250lbs in extreme college, i'd desire to have wiped the floor with very just about everybody I felt like. you will have some very undesirable examples which you're drawing out of your very own adolescence, yet for oldsters who're in charge and want the wonderful for their toddlers can use this very powerful form of self-discipline devoid of crossing the line and inflicting anger themes with their toddlers. *** Hitting interior the face isn't self-discipline and that i myself think of which you will have been abused and subsequently can't affiliate the adaptation***

I did the same thing at a bank about 15 years ago. I had Allstate, comprehensive, and they covered it.
And by the way, I felt every bit as stupid and frustrated as you probably do right now... :-)

It depends if you have collision coverage, and what your deductible is. Depends on your history on whether your ins will go up.
