When you came to the books of Chronicles and saw verse after verse and chapter after chapter giving a genealogical list of names that you could not pronounce and that were without meaning to you, you may have said, ‘Why is this here? Why such boresome details?’
It is true that, for mere reading, such a list is monotonous. Nevertheless, these genealogical lists are very valuable. Why? For one thing, they support the authenticity of the Bible. They constitute proof that God wants those who worship him to worship with spirit and truth, not as a fictitious or imaginary god. (John 4:23, 24) Is it not true that when you hear or read an account of some event, you want names and places? You immediately ask, Who? Where? When you know these details, there is a ring of truth to what is said or written, and much more reality. Also, with this information at hand you can check for more details to verify what was said, referring to other parts of the Bible or secular historical works. If the Bible were fiction or written by impostors it would certainly avoid such details. But these details in the Bible harmonize with other accounts and help to make the Bible one united whole. It is an honest presentation of actual historical facts.
The need for keeping a record of lineage was seen in the first prophecy, where God foretold a “seed,” or offspring, that would deliver mankind. About 2,000 years later, because of Abraham’s great faith, God favored him with the promise that the seed would come in his line of descent. (Gen. 22:17, 18) In time, the line of the promise was narrowed down to Judah, one of the 12 sons of Jacob and the great-grandson of Abraham, then, further, to King David’s line. Jesus’ human birth met all these qualifications, for he was acknowledged as being of the tribe of Judah and the son of David.

Because God say His Word is true,

"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." John 17:17

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:20-21

The Bible, the Scriptures of the Old Testament and the New Testament, preserved for us in the Masoretic text (Old Testament) Textus Receptus (New Testament) and in the King James Bible, is verbally and plenarily inspired of God. It is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and altogether authentic, accurate and authoritative Word of God, therefore the supreme and final authority in all things.

"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you." Deuteronomy 4:2

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" 2 Timothy 3:16

"For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else." Isaiah 45:18

"And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah" Psalms 50:6

How to prove the beliefs and the book of the mormons a lie:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:1-3

The mormons believe that there was a "council of gods" in heaven to see who would be the Saviour of the world, Jesus or satan. They also believe that Jesus and satan were brothers. Jesus is also known as "The Word" in the Bible. As you can see from His Word, He was before satan ever existed. Proving that The Word or Son of God existed long before satan ever did. It also states that "everything" was made by Him as well. Therefore proving that Jesus and satan were never brothers and that there was never such a thing in heaven that took place called the "council of gods". Therefore proving that the mormon religion is nothing more than a lie.

How to prove the quran a lie:

What most people don't know is, the catholic church had a lot to do with the book. All the "Bible" quotes in the quran came from the vatican. The quran is not the only book that muslems read from. I only wish that I could remember the name of the other book. At any rate, there are two quotes from each book that prove that the quran is a fraud. There are 220 contradictions in the quran. There use to be a website on line that that quotes these verses from the muslem's books. Unfortuately, it's not online any more. However, there is a book titled "The Prophet" (below) that tells how islam got to were it is today and how mislead these people are.

Up Date:

James (20 before me) stated "Nothing is absolute".

Really, well if you really believe your own words, stop breathing and at the same time, stop yourself from dieding for not breathing. You said there are no absolutes. Also, explain why the dead are still in the grave while you are at it.

If you are sincere, ask God to show you the truth and he will guide you to it. That's what I did. The Holy Spirit will come to you and you will feel Him leading and directing you to the truth.
From the Old Testament alone, more than 2000 specific prophesies have been fulfilled.
No other so called Holy book compares.Most of the 333 prophesies concerning the Messiah were fulfilled by the birth and life of Jesus Christ and the rest will be fulfilled at His second coming. A mathematician, Peter Stoner, had his graduate students calculate what the odds would be of any one person fulfilling just eight of these prophesies. He found the chance was one in 100,000,000,000,000,000 !Only a God who knows the future could have revealed these prophesies to those that He would have record them in His Word.

In spite of what is being taught today, the truth is we can reconstruct most of the life of Jesus Christ through non - Christian writers of the first century. Even Celsus who despised Christianity, never considered claiming that Jesus Christ did not exist.This is what can be learned from the writing of Celsus...

He was born of a virgin in a small village of Judea;
He was adored by wise men;
His birth was followed by the slaughter of infants by order of Herod;
He took flight to Egypt, where Celsus supposed Christ learned the charms of the Magicians;
After returning, He resided in Nazareth;He was baptized and the Holy Spirit descended on Him as a voice was heard from heaven;
He elected disciples;
He was a friend with publicans and other low people;
He cured the lame and blind;
He raised people from the dead;
He was betrayed by Judas;
He was denied by Peter;
In addition Celsus refers to several details of Christ's passion, crucifiction, and resurrection.

Twenty seven books of the New Testament, nineteen Pagan writers, and three Jewish writers testify to Jesus Christ's historical reality. When I hear people say that Jesus or the Bible is just a myth I just realise that they are simply unaware of the facts.I recommend The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel and or Skeptics Answered or The Gate Of Hell Shall Not Prevail by D. James Kennedy, and The Signature of God by Grant R. Jeffrey. May all your thoughts be taken captive by the Holy Spirit. Amen.

i believe that the bible was created to show universal justices and to lead people to make the best decisions at all turns of life, not to show of a basically another world and of the entire universes creation, creator and his son

the old testament is a good example (eve taking the apple from the tree that she wasnt supposed to hav takin from, the snake represents the darker side of the human taking part in life) thats easy to analyze

as most should know, most people couldnt explain a handful of the envents that took place back then so i am betting that there were people tryin to fill in the gaps like " where do we go when we die?" i really dont see how there is a part of the body that could exist w/o the brain and heart (the soul lol)

and another thing, moses is what? 950 when he died so theres something wierd goin on when people even before the 1800s live longer then ... 150 lol
i say that is a clue that the bible is more of a guide to life in general,

This is where You have to find out by yourself. Test it. See those people that embrace their chosen faith and watch their fruits. Is there any difference in Him. Is He walking as the same person with only a difference that He is religious> Is He obeying His religion or Faith because of promises or fear? Is He separated from the world. Has He come to you in power? Is He in boldness not as the world but of righteousness and truth?........So many more, so be very carefull for there is so many false religion. Do not be emotional when choosing.

You will definetely know if you don't follow blindly. Sometimes when you don't feel easy at something, you must know how to confront.

Not whole might be higher stated. Some already forget about the 7 books Luther eliminated. In the sixteenth c., Luther, reacting to critical abuses and clerical corruption within the Latin Church, to his possess heretical theological imaginative and prescient (see articles on sola scriptura and sola fide), and, frankly, to his possess interior demons, eliminated the ones books from the canon that lent help to orthodox doctrine, relegating them to an appendix. Removed on this method have been books that supported such matters as prayers for the useless (Tobit 12:12; two Maccabees 12:39-forty five), Purgatory (Wisdom three:a million-7), intercession of useless saints (two Maccabees 15:14), and intercession of angels as intermediaries (Tobit 12:12-15). Luther desired to take away the Epistle of James, Esther, Hebrews, Jude and Revelation. Calvin and Zwingli additionally each had issues with the Book of Revelation, the previous calling it "unintelligible" and forbidding the pastors in Geneva to interpret it, the latter calling it "unbiblical". The Syrian (Nestorian) Church has simplest 22 books within the New Testament whilst the Ethiopian Church has eight "further." The first version of the King James Version of the Bible integrated the "Apocryphal" ( Deuterocanonical) Books. The 7 books eliminated from Protestant Bibles are recognized via Catholics because the "Deuterocanonical Books" (versus the "Protocanonical Books" that don't seem to be in dispute), and via Protestants because the "Apocrypha." The suggestion that every one discovered fact is to be located in "sixty six books" isn't just no longer in Scripture, it's contradicted via Scripture (a million Corinthians eleven:two, two Thessalonians two:15, two Thessalonians three:6, a million Timothy three:15, two Peter a million:20-21, two Peter three:sixteen). It is a inspiration exceptional within the Old Testament, wherein the authority of people who sat at the Chair of Moses (Matthew 23:two-three) existed. In addition to this, for four hundred years, there used to be no outlined canon of "Sacred Scripture" apart from the Old Testament; there used to be no "New Testament"; there used to be simplest Tradition and non-canonical books and letters. Our Lord headquartered a Church (Matthew sixteen:18-19), no longer a e-book, which used to be to be the pillar and flooring of Truth (a million Timothy three:15). We can realize what this Church teaches via watching no longer simplest at Sacred Scripture, however into History and via studying what the earliest Christians have written, what people who've sat at the Chair of Peter have spoken continually with Scripture and Tradition, and what they have solemnly outlined. To think that the Bible is our simplest supply of Christian Truth is unbiblical and illogical.

The funny thing is that people who claim that the Bible is true cite examples and evidence of this truth from the Bible. Don't they realize how circular and dogmatic that kind of reasoning is? That would be like me writing a research paper and using the paper I'm writing as my source. It's makes no sense.
