no ,
for two or more reasons,
treated lumber is treated. so it can with stand ,the out side ,weather also ground contact ,
and it cost nearly twice what ,normal pine , 1x8 costs,
if you primer ,your pine, and give it two coats of paints before you hang it , it will go up faster, and only need a touch up,
painting treated lumber ,just would be a waste of your time,
further more , it weights a lot more than pine

don't forget, with treated lumber you have to let it weather for several months before you can paint it. how old is the house and this fascia? if you prime all sides with an oil based primer and then apply two coats of top paint it will last longer than the original fascia did. and if you applied ice and water shield on the roof decking before you shingled it, you won't have any leaks anyways.

While painting plain lumber will make it last a little longer, it will last much longer if you use treated lumber. We are in the process of repairing our out building and two sides and the doors were painted, but they are rotten. I put a treated lumber skirting board on it, and it's still in great shape. It may cost a little more for treated lumber, but it will be worth it in the end.

treated lumber is more expensive. If you plan on living in that house for 15-20 more years, then maybe treated is the way to go, otherwise, use untreated lumber. Pre-prime and pre-paint, if you can.

redwood is best not the kind you get at home depot you could use treated but it looks like crap and you can use Doug fur what you call reg wood provided you pant all surfaces I mean every where redwood will last the longest treated will last but not as long as redwood and it looks like crap and anybody that knows anything will look at it and say who the hell did that fur will last the least amount of time depending on conditions weather and installation fur will last maybe two to five years in shaded very wet conditions or up to twenty years under normal conditions
