Mormons as I understand it you believe God was just a man who served His god correctly and was then elevated to godhood. So my question is this why do you worship the God of the Bible when it seems clear according to your philosophy that His god is more powerful? Why not just skip the middle man?

cadisneygirl76 - you say God has all the power and knowledge. According to mormon belief who is more powerful? The God of the Bible or the god who created Him?

Father K - So funny. My pastor and a friend went there recently. They came very close to getting asked to leave. Temple security was following them everywhere and making sure they could hear everything said.

cadisneygirl76 - If God's god made Him a god couldn't he unmake Him?

cadisneygirl76 - I am really no attempting to make fun of anyone and neither did my friends when they went to your temple. What I am trying to do is show mormons they are worshiping a false god. I want them to worship the real God not a man.

Tommiecat - I too am a Christian. I am not trying to skip Jesus. There is no way to do it. I am just trying to point out to these mormons that if God was just a man who was made into God. Why not worship the god who made him instead.

I asked that same exact question to the LDS tour guide on the tour of the Temple Square in Salt Lake City and they had security usher me off the property.

I am not mormon but I believe in Jesus Christ and that he is the Son of God. I believe that no man can get to the Father except thru Jesus Christ. In this case you cannot skip the middle man. Even though you think you can and you think you are skipping him, you are just deceiving yourself.
Stephen in the book of Acts as he was being stoned saw his Lord standing at the right hand of God. Is he lying? I think not.
God the father gave all power to his Son, Jesus. The bible says in Revelation that Jesus will present us to the Father when this is all over

I worship my God, which is my creator, my literal father of my soul.

Yes we do believe there are other Gods. But we only believe in worshipping our God, our creator.

Knowledge is power. God has all the knowledge and power. If someone had all the knowledge and power there was to be known or had, wouldnt that make them a God?

Our heavenly father is no less powerful then his heavenly father. He would only worship his father.

father, I seriously doubted that all you did was ask a simple question.

People go on those tours all the time trying to bash and heckle the guides with zero respect for the others or for those giving the tour. I dont know what really happened, but if I had to guess, you did more then just ask one simple question.

edge, neither is more powerful
You seem to judge power in a very human way on this earth.

Noone will be given the knowledge and powers of God if they ever thought about things like who is more powerful

They are now equals. And they probably dont compare who's is bigger.

Why is it funny to go to a place for no other purpose then to bash on others and be a rude obnoxious jerk???????? Does respect for others mean nothing to people that do it? If you dont like mormons and dont really want to hear the tours or see the sights, then leave them alone. For anyone to go out of their way to just mock and try to hurt other people based on their beliefs just makes that person the biggest jerk ever. There shouldnt be any kind of pride taken for puposelly trying to hurt other people or be rude and disruptive for no reason other then your personal enjoyment.

You dont go into someone elses church and start telling them how wrong they are. Temple square, for non members, is a little view of what our religion is sort of about and to portray some of the history of the religion. You arent going to convince anyone that they are going to hell while on temple square so just have some respect for your fellow human beings and leave mormons alone. At the very least, leave places like temple square alone. What are mormons doing to you? What would you think if they showed up at your church and started protesting it or went into your church and started telling people how they are going to hell?
You wouldnt see that happening because we dont do that.

Father K, I doubt seriously that it was the question that got you escorted off, but the way you asked it. I have read your posts before, and it just amazes me how a man who claims to be a minister of the Gospel can be so....well, the words fail me....when it comes to one particular group. I don't know what Mormons ever did to you that you have to act as you do. But, I am not impressed with anything you say, as you do NOT seem to me to represent the best of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

EDGE, We believe that it's like an endless cycle. Our God, our creator, had a creator who was his God...and His God had a God and so on and so forth. We believe that when we die, if we go into the Celestial Kingdom(the top level of Heaven) we can furthur ourself and become Godlike and continue this sequence of events and have children of our own and send them to a planet and they will go thruogh the same things we're going through now...

It's not that God's God is more powerful...just that he is older...

<>< That is an excellent question!! I look forward to the response to that. And, don't you mean the middle god?

Brian-Tell me exactly what verses in the Bible talk of this God's God concept? I have never seen that verse and would like read about it.

His Father, who created Him, is not more powerful. He was given all the power that His Father had, just like we can get all the power that He has, if we live worthily enough to receive that.
