Mormon, Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Hare Krishna, Atheist...it doesn't matter, God loves everyone and as long as you're a good person and lead a good life then that's all that matters. =)

This is something that you can't have anyone answerer but you. I am Mormon and i would say yes but you have to decide that it is what you want in your life. as a member of the church I have seen my life be so full. I know in my heart that the church is true. I could give you all the pros to the church but unless you want to embrace the church it won't matter what i say. I love the church and i am so grateful that i have it in my life. I have been going through some very hard times in my life and with out the church and the members i do not know what i would have done with my life.
To make this choice you should pray with an open heart. go to a place were you know that you can listen to the spirit. If you have met members of the ward and know someone that you trust you can talk to them about what you are feeling. This is a big choice because when you are baptized you make big promises the heavenly father.

Whatever you do, do NOT get your information about Mormonism from Mormon missionaries. They start by telling people they believe in the Christian trinity, when in fact they believe in a holy trio of three separate gods. If you cruise this site long enough, you will discover that it is impossible to get a straight answer from them even to the simplest questions. I have seen Mormons on here admit to believing in many gods, and then other Mormons claim that that's a lie started by "other Christians" to make them look bad.

Good luck with your search, it's your decision, but pray a LOT before you throw in with this cult. God bless you.

Read, study, and ponder the Book of Mormon. Pray and ask God to show you it's truthfulness. If you can't do this, if you can't accept Joseph Smith was a true prophet, then you should not join the LDS church.

Talk to the missionaries, pray about it and decide for yourself. Why are you asking other people what religion you should be? That is a pretty personal decision.

edge, I would rather someone stay an atheist then be rooted in the belief that good people are going straight to hell like you seem to be. I would never want to worship such a cruel unfair God.

The reason you shouldn't is because Jesus died for your sins about 2000 years ago. He established a church through his apostles to bring the Good News to all mankind. This church still stands today and passes on the same Good News. There is ample historical and archaeological evidence to support this. This is quite different from a religion invented in the 1800's, with a book that describes "historical" events that cannot be supported by any outside historical verification, nor archaeological evidence.

You should pray about this choice. This is a very serious commitment to Heavenly Father. Talk with local missionaries if you haven't already. Attend church services. You can find times and addresses on the website. You need to pray and ponder this. Good luck to you in your search for spirituality.

No. They are not Christians. If the choice is mormon or atheist you might as well remain atheist. No difference in destination after death.

cadisneygirl76 - The God I worship and the god you worship are not the same. I worship the true God. Not some man who was made god. Also no one can be good enough to deserve Heaven. We can make it to Heaven only because of Christ's sacrifice. If we had to make it on our own works no one would make it. We are told in Isaiah all our righteousness is as filthy rags.

Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

I wouldn't. Just do an in-depth study into their history and you'd see that it's ripe with corruption and deceit. I wouldn't want to belong to such an organization - that's why I left the Mormon Church.
