almond meal is blanched almonds that's been ground to an almost flour-like consistency- usually used to make marzipan or macaroons.

Buttermilk, you can easily buy from your local grocery store in the dairy section next to the milk ... if you can't find buttermilk just use whole milk and then add half a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar for every cup of buttermilk needed and then let it stand for about 5 minutes or so before you use it

Hmmmmmmm Buttermilk is milk with the butterfat removed or the milk left after churning butter.

Almond meal would be Almonds ground to a fine powder. I would think.
I am kinda guessing at the Almond Meal but as for buttermilk i know what that is b'coz i grew up on a dairy farm.
