I am looking for a good Christian book(s) to read, but I don't know any good authors, and, besides the one book I have already read called Arena(you guys should all read it-it's awesome), I am not having much luck finding any. Anyone have any good Christian authors or book titles for me?

Yes, I know the Bible is the BEST book to read, and yes, I own one and read it. I don't care what kind of book it is. I want your opinion. Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes! Beverly Lewis writes Biblical novels pertaining to the Amish. She gives you a real glimpse of why they stay away from the world and worldly snares, However, she does this through wonderful story lines. You just cannot hardly put them down! I have every book she has written! I think you should start out with Abrams Daughters as it is a five book set and you will want the next as soon as you finish. That, is how well written these books are!

She has a website, google, Beverly Lewis and you will be directed straight to her website! She was reared in the Amish area of Lancaster, County, PA. Her grandmother, was Amish! In as much, what you read, even though it is a ficticious book, is all truth and a wonderful look into this world!

Go for it! You will love them!

C.S. Lewis is the best. Depending on your age you can start with the Narnia books (tweens and teens but adults like them too) or go to The Screwtape Letters (classic and short) Mere Christianity, or The Great Divorce. (The last one is my favorite, it is about a bunch of people from Hell that get to take a bus trip into Heaven... I won't spoil the ending but none of them like Heaven very much) his Science Fiction Trillogy or his short essays (God in the Dock... but they are more college level) .

G.K. Chesterton also is a great Christian Author, but I don't know his work as well as I should.

Try "The Christ Commission" by Og Mandino....he has also written many other inspirational books as well. You could probably google his name and come up with a great list!

The Gospel of Thomas by Elaine Pagel. Its a deep look inside of the early Christian Gnostic's and the actual Gospel itself. It is possibly the oldest of them all.
