According to a physician you are clinically obese. For your age and height you're seriously overweight. If you just gained weight without trying, go to a doctor you could have a pituitary or thyroid problem. If you eat a lot of junk food or you over eat period, then you should go on a diet. Sometimes genetics can determine how big or small you are and just being an adolescent going through all those hormone changes. When I was 15 years old, I was 215lbs and I didn't start gaining more weight until I was around 21yrs when I changed my eating habits. So 230lbs could be your set weight and you have to finish growing into it. Everybody is different.

Don't listen to people who try to put you down because of your size either. You can still be healthy at the size you are now because I was extremely healthy and active being 15 years old and 215lbs. People have a tendency to associate weight with health. If that were true then a girl I know who is 110lbs soaking wet should be the picture of health but she has more health problems than I do because I don't have any.

F.Y.I. - You're only fat if you feel that way, don't ever label yourself.

I'm also consider a small person 5 ft. I 'v also have weight problem and the best way I have found to lose weight without suffering with hunger.

1. Eat 3 meals a (breakfast can be a big meal if you wish) day.
*Fruit snack (apple, banana, etc or a diet drink)
2. Lunch should include green/fruit salads, you can include both, sandwich & soups; one main meat entree w/ chef salad ( baked potatoe only when no more potatoe for rest of the day.
*snack is same (try to drink at least 8ozs of water a day.
3. Dinner can be also anything you care to have but make it light (not to much fried , graveys, bread, greasy, etc: your allowed a desert but make it a small portion and only one serving) and try to have dinner before 7 pm.
*Late snack no later then seven can be fruit or a glass of favorite juice.

As you follow this diet you will full by lunch and dinner that you will start cutting down on your portions and eating less. Stay away from sweets, reg. sodas, chips, fried food and white bread)

When cooking use cooking oils (not lard) or no-stick sprays; dressings cut down to 2 tablespoons)

As you go with the diet you start making adjustments, like cutting down on calories and start doing more walking or other exercises.

GOOD LUCK! GOD BLESS! AMEN! SHALOM!

You have a BMI of 39.5 which is over the limit of 30 for obesity. I would suggest that you talk to a nutritionist because you might be risking heart disease very early. Some ideas for losing weight: cut back on your meat, eat more vegetables and start exercising, maybe play a sport like cross country or track that involved a lot of running.

i think that would be considered way too fat. try cutting down on breads, potatoes, rice, sweets, and try to move your body at least 30 minutes every day. just move. walk around your block, go up and down the stairway. drink lots of water because it will fill you up and you will be less hungry for snacks. do not snack! just don't. if you want to lose the weight and be healthy, you can do it, but it will take longer than a week or two. you have to keep up the changes i talked about above. it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change!! you can do it!! you need to drop about 60 pounds and that is gonna take a while, but it will happen if you keep moving!!!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Depends if you are male or female. If you are male and not an athlete, then it would appear that you are overweight. Without seeing a pic, none of us can tell for sure.
If you want to lose, eliminate sugar, white flour, drink lots of water, reduce your red meat intake, increase your fruits and vegetables and above all exercise
