You are asking the wrong crowd. We hunters seldom stand around the streets with floats and the only hawks we see are in the sky and also hunting. Thunder now is something we know but hardly ever make up sayings about it. Unless it is some very uncomplimentary words.

Blood and Thunder. Some people are like slinkies.Relatively useless, but for some reason you get a chuckle when you push them down the stairs.A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexuality and emotional maturity.Never take life too seriously.Otherwise, you'll never make it through alive.

Why is this in Hunting??? Homecoming floats have nothing to do with hunting by the way.

Try "Quando omni flunkus, moritati." It is latin for "When all else fails, play dead." This comes from a Canadian comedy series.
