I found a fruit?? which is yellow, round and smells like a lime in our park. What could it be? Poisonous?

When you cut this open there is a seed the size of a peach pit and is black. Inside is yellow and stains your fingers.

maybe a yellow cousin of peach?...don't take a bite of it, just give it a quick lick and see how it tastes... the taste may ring a bell.

You might want to go back to the park to see if there are any trees around with the same fruit. It could be some type of walnut tree fruit. I wouldn't be in a rush to eat it until you have identified it.
