Heavenly Eyes: are you as brainelss in person as you seem to be here? Even your brothers and sisters can't stand you. Don't worry though, kid, you will not have to concern yourself with heaven.

The apostle Paul assures us that the presence of Christ will not commence until first an apostasy develops in God's household. "Let no one seduce you in any manner, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction."

Peter's question to Christ: To what organization shall we go away to? There is no other Christian organization that even comes close to teaching the truth then Jehovah's Witnesses.

In this regard we can follow Christ's example. As a Jew, Jesus was under the Mosaic Law. Yet, Jesus was no doubt fully aware of how corrupt the Jewish religious system had become. Did Jesus withdraw from that religion?

No, he did not. Apparently, Jesus was present at all of the religious conventions and festivals in Jerusalem and he even attended weekly meetings on the Sabbath in the local synagogue. In fact, some of his miracles occurred in the synagogue. An attempt was even made on his life because of his comments at one synagogue, but that did not deter him from continuing to go to meetings.

The extraordinary thing is that Jesus knew full well that the Jewish temple and way of worship was going to be destroyed, yet he fully supported it up until his death.

As I have said other times when asked similar questions on here, clearly our duties as Christians is to follow the Bible. If I found out that the beliefs of the organisation weren't those held by the Bible, I would clearly have to uphold the Bible, and pursue letting other's know what I had found. I would proudly do so, without constantly letting other websites be my words. If it meant I wouldn't continue being a Witness so be it. However, from my studies that hasn't been an issue.

Meanwhile, one clear sign of unhappiness is making fun of others. So, one should wonder why they feel the need to be rude, if they are rude, as it could be they need to make a change.

What an unloving person you portray yourself as. What gave you the chip on your shoulder? Religion or lack of it?

Wow! tirshatha2001's answer is the best I've seen from an active witness on these boards. It's what I would've said... Back then.

Curly Sue: I'm so sorry for the loss of your son. I lost my husband to cancer the year before I learned the ugly truth about "the society." The loving and reasonable God that I had come to know could not possibly be their God... There is disorder and injustice at the very core of their leadership. So many of the rank and file are sweet, caring individuals, But many are simply pushing literature out of dread fear that they haven't done enough to please the angry God of the Watchtower. We can prove them liars with their own literature, without even needing to refer to the "apostate" sites. That's how I finally saw through their lies.

Fortunately, I found that kindness is a HUMAN trait. Allowing myself to associate with "worldlings" opened my eyes even further.

I think most people would stay in and play the game because they would be too afraid of losing their social and family support circles. It takes a lot of guts to go it on your own until you can build those things again, you know how being a Jehovah's Witness isolates you from everyone not a part of their religion. That is why I counsel any wanting to leave to start building those support circles long before they officially leave, so if their family is called upon to never speak to them again, they will have other support.

I can only speak for myself, though. I had to leave once I knew the Truth.

I left, and now I follow Christ. It was tough, I lost my son in March and disassociated myself in August. Not only was I still grieving for my son but I then grieved for my brothers and sisters who immediately withdraw any support they had once offered. How Christian of them!

Thanks Suzanne. I too have learned that kindness is a human trait. Too bad that the society forbids it unless it's Witness on Witness.

Why are Witnesses responding to apostates?!!! They are disfellowshipped and we are not to have contact even here.

Look at his screen name and you answer anyway?!!!

Websites listed are apostate websites,so why ask if disfellowshipped?

Had to thumbs down you Heavenly Eyes. You took the bait and engaged an obvious apostate.

For all of your protesting His actions, where is Your loyalty to Jehovah's arrangement? Which is just what he wants to point out to everyone, how you let your guard down. How obedient are you? Are we united or not?
