Well unfortunately there is not much you can do about this. You can't exactly demand to be in a wedding lol. If a close family member has a wedding coming up, you could say how excited about the wedding you are and how you would like to be involved if she didn't mind. Just don't make it sound as though you are asking to be in it because that is not good, you should just make it sound as though you would really like to help or play a part.

If you're a bridesmaid, you have to pay for your dress (at least $100, usually more expensive though) and you have to help plan and pay for the bridal shower. If you're young, you're probably not selected as a bridesmaid because the bride realizes you don't have the financial means to do the job, and she doesn't want to place a financial burden on your parents.

Also, to be perfectly frank with you, weddings are about the bride and groom and nobody else. You can't force them to give you a bigger role!

I've been to countless weddings. I've never been a bridesmaid. I got to read a passage once and I got to be the "gift attendant" once. It is just one of those things. It is an honor just to be asked to be part of a wedding in any capacity. Accept that and be happy.

You should be happy to be doing that. How old are you?

You'll get a spot as a junior bridesmaid or bridesmaid in due time.

In all my very long years, I've never actually been to a wedding. Be thankful that you are at least part of that joy.
