Keep exploring your faith. Try to discern where God is calling you to worship.
One way to make a more educated choice is to learn more about Catholicism.
If interested in joining or just learning more about the Catholic Church, contact your local parish and ask about information about their RCIA Inquiry group.
You can go and ask any questions you want.
This is the first step in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) but you can stop at any time.
There is no obligation to become a Catholic.
With love and prayers in Christ.

My best friend was raised in the Catholic Church, but when she moved here a few decades ago she wasn't able to find a Catholic Church that she felt comfortable in. She eventually started going to a non-denominational Church which she felt comfortable in and really enjoyed the sermons which were Biblically based. The people there welcomed her with open arms and have been very helpful, especially now. She was diagnosed with MS a few months ago and her Church family has been there for her as much as they can.
Pray to the Lord and ask direction. He will help you find the right Church. I agree with one of the posters which said that looking for a Church which is beautiful inside is not really a good reason, is correct. If I understood that wrong please forgive me. My memory is terrible.
Tradition does not a good Church make. A good Church is based on the Bible and Bible only. jmho

What do you want to be bound to? religion or relationship with Christ. You are feeling this tug on your heart for a reason. Are you doing what you feel God is wanting to do with you, or maybe you desire to be brought to a deeper level with Christ. Pray and ask the Lord what he wants from you, he will answer. I can only say i went threw the same thing when i was being released from the Catholic religion and into a place that feed me the word and some meat! Remember your identity is of a child of God belonging to the King of kings and no religion can fill that place. In the end no religion is going to take precedence..we are the body of Christ and will be in unity as such.

Pray my sister, God will lead you where you belong. I am the opposite. I left the Catholic church because I found too much of their "requirements" not to be true in my heart, and simply tradition, rather than Biblical. We attend a non-denominational church that we just love, and receive such sound Biblical teaching. The sermons are more a lesson from the Bible than preaching. Feel free to listen to one.....

YOu could go to both, the truth is that Jesus decided how we should relate to him and the purest sense of this is through the Mass, "do this in memory of me".
If the first apostles went into non-denominational or evangelical churches today they would call it a heresy.
I like the worship style in many of them and the music is nice, however thats based on me, not on God, only God decides how we should properly interact with him.
I like Joel Osteen, I like his positive message but you have to take all of it with a pinch of salt.
Remember only the priest in the homily can interpret scriputure based on what the original apostles meant it to say.
Others just use their own interpretation.
thats why there are thousands (37,000) different protestant denominations, from just 5 in 1600s.

I believe that you shouldn't convert to any Religion because of the service. Religion is the search for truth. I encourage you to talk with a priest as well as the preachers at the churches. Find out why their church is the True church, the one christ taught would be there for you to turn to. The one he would never lead astray and that the gates of hell would never overcome.

Different priests are given different gifts.....find a Catholic Church that has a priest whose homilies appeal to you a bit more. i.e. one that has above average oratory skills.
Certain of the very good speakers travel about from town to town. Call the Chancelry of your diocese for info.
See if your Church offers a teen Mass (usually on Sunday afternoons (about 5 p.m.).
In my diocese we also have charismatic Churchs. They are quite lively, indeed.
While the Liturgy of the Word is a vital part of each Mass (n.b. the Catholic Church is the only Church that proceeds through the complete Bible every 3 years at Mass)....the real reason for attending Holy Mass is to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus in the consecrated Host and wine......You will only find His Body & Blood in the Catholic Church.
Joh 6:53 So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you;
Joh 6:54 he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
God bless you and your family.

Are you going to church for what you get out of it or for what you give to God?
Worship is supposed to be God-centered, not us-centered. Non-denominational churches that I have visited seem to get that confused, but Christ is always the central focus in the Catholic Church. That makes it a no-brainer for me.
Go to bible study at the non-denominational if you want, but go to worship at the church that puts Jesus in center of worship.
