Some beds have a lever to lock the wheels in a stationary position. Most bed frames sold today come with at least two wheels that have such a lever (up for unlock and down for lock). Check to see if you have them. If not, you could buy four shallow, rubber disks (a.k.a. coasters or caster cups) that are specifically for furniture legs/wheels.

Look at the rollers and see if there is a lock on them it will look like a lever either push it down or up to lock the rollers. If it does not have a lock you can get coaster like things at Walmart that you put under the rollers to stop it from rollimg These rollers have a depression in the middle of the coaster so that the roller sits in the depression I hope that this helps

How old is the building your living in. That could give you a clue if they are hardwood. If the building is 50 years old or more then it's a good chance that they are hardwood. You can buy hardwood flooring cleaner at Home Depot. Check out the seams where the flooring butts together. If you are able to visibly see and or slide something very thin into the seam like a razor blade then it's hardwood if not then it's most likely laminate.

Most of the time, the wheels are just plugged in there. You can pull them right out until you are ready to move the bed again.

at least 2 rollers should have a lock on them, a long flat piece that that u push down...if not go to the hardware store and get two replacements with the lock...take one of the wheels with you for size comparison. 10 bucks at the most.

1. Remove the wheels.
2. Try door stops (wedge kind).
3. Put a bench or trunk at the foot of your bed.

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/KABej
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

try and take out one of the casters and see if you can match it with ones with locks on them at your local hardware store(not home depot or lowes). you should only have to replace two of them, most likely the ones at the foot of the bed. you can find those caster cups at the hardware store also if getting the casters out is un do able. good luck.
