Mild effects, that can occur after therapy, are:
bruising
pain
swelling
itching
These will all occur at the injection site and will last anywhere from a few hours to a few days.

Other side effects are:
lump at injection site
pigmentation
ulceration
scarring
The lump will go away in a few weeks. The ulceration will require treatment and will result in scarring. The pigmentation and scarring will be permanent.

You can also have systemic reactions that range from mild all the way to life threatening but your clinician should recognize these and react appropriately. Just be sure you are going to someone well qualifiied! One rare reaction is the development of psoriasis or other unusual skin conditions.
