Where did you get the idea, that babies go to heaven when they die; its not in the bible. No one is going to heaven . The bible tells you. Flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of god. It also says in John 3, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Jesus is the only one that can baptize you with the spirit. and He wont do that until He returns the second.
When we die (all mortals) we o to our Grave(Hell), and there
we stay(sleep) until Jesus comes the second time. Those in Christ will be in the first resurrected in the first Resurrection, and will be changed from mortal to immortal. every one else will be resurrected at the second Resurrection, to be judged from the book of life, by Jesus.

No one goes straight to heaven (or hell or purgatory or limbo or anywhere else) when they die.
Genesis 2:7. Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. (Hence, neither the breath of life or the dirt was a living being, soul, or anything else. The breath of life is just that: life)
Luke 16:19-30 (story of Rich Man and Lazarus). (Was a Jesus re-done popular Greek myth at the time. The people listening would have realized that Jesus was using a completely preposterous (at the time) story to illustrate his point)
John 11: 11 says: "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I go, so that I may awaken him out of sleep." Later the bible says: (Same book and chapter) "13Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that He was speaking of literal sleep.
14So Jesus then said to them plainly, "Lazarus is dead.'"
Would Jesus say, Lazarus is asleep, and mean, Lazarus is dead, if Lazarus was in heaven, where he would be neither (picture: you just arrived in heaven, met God, and before seeing the sights of the city and asking God all those burning questions saying "I'm going to take a nap") Also would Jesus let Lazarus get sick and die, then, yank him back from heaven (to a sinful earth that really really sucks) because his sisters missed him?
1st Corinthians 15: 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.
Does this sound like there is an immortal soul before the Last Trumpet? (see last trumpet Revelation 11:15-19 aka second coming)
Finally, possibly the most popularly quoted pro-immortal spirit text:Luke 23:43 And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise." The whole issue of this text hinges on the question "Does the comma go: "to you, today you will" or "to you today, you will" answer, there were no commas in Greek. "When the New Testament was first written there were no punctuation marks. In fact, the words were run together one after another without any separation. Punctuation and versification entered the text of manuscripts at a much later period." (http://www.teknia.com/index.php?page=punctuation)

Hey how did you know they go straight to Heaven? I'd like to know that. But then again it would seem right wouldn't it.Babies are not tainted by sin they are pure and innocent at birth so yes it would be right that they should have a place in Heaven. Born with sin and being tainted by it is two different things.

This is a modern rewriting of Christian thinking to suit the sentimental 20th century frame of mind. Formerly, an unbaptized baby that died in infancy would have difficulty getting a burial in a church yard and it would be assumed to be, at best, in limbo while its sins were assessed. It would eventually make it to heaven - perhaps.
Just so that you aren't fooled into thinking that the permanent, perfect and unchanging Bible is anything of the kind. It's been revised and reprioritized endlessly over the last 2000 years.

Because of the sin of Adam, all mankind has the sin nature. However, until you are able to make a conscious decision, full of understanding, to accept Jesus as your savior, you are not accountable for your sinful nature. This is why Jesus was presented at the age of 12. This, in the Jewish culture, was considered the age of consent and accountability, when a person was able to decide for themselves what they beleived. We are the same way. God knows when our innocence is over and when we can make an informed decision as to where we would like to spend eternity. I hope this has helped.

Because all children before the age of reason(knowing right from wrong) if they die go to heaven. When a baby is baptized that washes away the stain of original sin

Not with sin, into sin or "Carnal" or "animal" nature which is the animated part of you. Spirit is "birthed" into the "carn," "animal," or "hu" nature. We are both "Hu" and "Man." The Hu, is the "beastial" nature that gave us this form. The Man part, is the divine nature. We have choices to act according to one or the other nature.
Babies, were just animated for a short time, therefore have not been given choices as we have had the "privilege" of having. Therefore, "incomplete" in a logistical sense.
Not to worry, The "baby" will try again, to further purify his everlasting soul.

Baptism has nothing to do with it, in Christianity. Baptism has nothing to do with being saved. Children are sanctified under the parents until they are at an age where they can decide themselves to accept the Lord as their savior. It is after that they can make the decision to be baptized, if they wish, as a symbol of their Christianity and standing up for Jesus.
Our ten year old daughter recently accepted the Lord. The change in her, and the hunger for God's Word and truth is profound, and tells me that she has, in fact, grown into her own relationship with Him.
God Bless

Babies are sinless and saved through the atonement of Jesus Christ. They can not sin until they reach the age of accountability. If they die before baptism, they go straight to the highest degree of glory.
