They say raise the tail and look and if it appears that the cat has a colon (:) design under the tail, it's a female. If there appears to be just a period (.) design with flares around the dot, it's a male. However, it's not 100% fool-proof. Just the best guess.

Turn them around, if you see a bump ( called the scrotum, which hold the testicles) below the anus, it's a male, if you don't see one, it's a female, but you didn't mention how old your cat is. Sometimes it's kind of hard when they are young kittens. Good luck!

Well lift the tail and look for any testicles if it's a boy, they will be fuzzy but a male has testicles just under their anus and below is their penis...if it has been fixed then there will be a larger gap in space between the anus and penis. A female has her two openings close together no space in between at all.

okay so i have 2 kittens that where about a month when i got them.
i had the same problem as u.
what where they?
so i turned them over and notice very little difference between the 2.
rebel was slightly bigger down there and turned out to be the boy.
and sirin it just looked like 2 holes.
she is my girl.
i found out latter from the vet that i was right.

Depends on the age when you can tell.My husband thought his one cat was a female till he took her to the vet and found out he was a David.Ask a vet if you are not sure.

They would have the same body parts as humans.
The boys would have a stick with two back packs at the bottom.

Okay..you look at their butthole first.Males have another hole under their butthole but females don't.
