I´m getting mine on Monday.
People have suggested me yogurt, jell-o, soup(especialy), mashed potatoes and lot´s of mushy stuff for the first week. Just make sure you don´t eat anything hard or sticky because it can get the brackets off.
Also ask your orthodontist. She or he should have lot´s of suggestions (it IS they´re job LOL!)

Soft foods like:
Soup
Spaghetti-o's (what I like best lol)
Jell-o
And when your teeth aren't sore, sugar-free gum
And some soft snack foods

Some stuff to avoid is like really really sticky and chewy foods. Nothing that you bite into with your front teeth like hard foods, for example; carrots, if you eat something hard like that, chop them up and chew in the back.

Hope this helped, good luck with your braces. :]

Soups, noodles, mashed potatos, applesauce, jello.

Things like that.

I made the mistake of trying to eat chicken and dumplins the first day I got mine (about 5 years ago). That was nearly impossible, despite the fact that they weren't hard... >_>

Soft food that are easy to nibble on in small bites like pasta, bread, mashed potatoes, soup, oatmeal, etc.
Your teeth will be sore the frist couple of days, but it will be well worth it .
Good luck

soup. after a couple hours with your braces on your mouth is going to get very sore, so have advil to relieve the pain and eat soup so you don't have to chew.

you can eat mostly everything, but stay away from hard candy and chewy things. I broke a couple off with a candy cane, and caramel, not too smart, huh?
