I was just talking to my dad && he beleives one with this personality disorder cannot hear voices of the alters. But I have read many articles && have heard of people with this disorder who have claimed to have heard voices, some can even have conversations.
If I am correct, can someone please send me a link, proving this? Thanks.

In this link : http://www.mind.org.uk/Information/Booklets/Understanding/Understanding+dissociative+disorders.htm

it says that hearing voices can sometimes accompany the disassociative state or disorder. If you read through though it is not the most prominent of symptoms.

You are correct. In my experience, some of the alters can talk with each other and with the primary personality, some only talk to certain of the alters from whom they seek protection. It is common to "hear voices" and sometimes to have internal conversations. The primary may have communication with some alters, but be unaware of others. With psychotherapy, all of the alters may become known and sometimes they may be integrated into the primary personality, with the primary then becoming a much more complete person.

Hear them? I have regular conversations and arguments with them.
There are some cases where a particular alter cannot hear the others, but it's unheard of that none of the alters can hear each other.
