I was just wondering if anyone has shot this gun and could tell me about the recoil...? I am a little apprehensive because it is a little lighter than what I am used to shooting and a 4"inch barrel comared to my .45 XD Tactical. Thanks in advance...

Thanks David...I was that has passed my mind a few times. I have a 9mm XD too and I do not like .40s. I was thinking of a .357 but this would be my first revolver and only holding a semi auto it is hard to get used too. Thanks for the imput...

JUst a thought but I have had bad luck in retaining more than one gun in the same caliber (including even rimfires). It seems that I do too much contrast/comparison and one version (say a .357) ends up getting traded off. It's like one gets jealous of the other. I now firmly believe in having one good example per caliber. I have wasted so much money over the better part of 20 years because I did not keep things simple. I know that this is not an answer to your question but I wish that someone would have pulled me aside and clued me in on this years ago. Once you spend money it never comes back (especially on cars and guns). Maybe you should opt for a 24/7 in 9mm. This is one case where having another caliber saves you money (9mm being cheaper than .45) and varies your shooting.

you won't feel any appreciable difference, just a little louder. Just my humble opinion, but you should have stuck with your XD, If you were going for a more concealable pistol, the XD compact is great. My experiences with taurus have been kind of up and down. Some years, they make a good firearm, other years, they make some dumb mistakes. I've found taurus revolvers in .357 mag with the cylinders drilled out so that the thin edge of the cylinder is where they put the hole, I've found some of their pistols with disconnectors that were so thin they bent with the first round fired, and lately, even though they have a life time waranty, you can't get prompt repairs. I sent a new pistol back for a bad extractor, they received it on July 3 and had so many pistols in ahead of it for repair, that they could not even get to it to replace the extractor until August 12th
