He probably needs to go to the vet. If he's an outside dog he may have gotten into something.

Once it's gone a full day, you need to get her seen, because she may not be showing other symptoms like lethargy, but that will kick in pretty quickly if she's not keeping food down. It should be ok if you get her seen tomorrow morning, but pay close attention to water intake. She must have it and you may have to even syringe it down her. Another good way way to get some in her is scramble an egg with 1/3 cup of water or so, and nuke it plain. See if this tempts her. If it stays down, she'll have gotten some water. You can also try a bit of plain white rice cooked with more water than they say to use. But it's not a substitute for a vet visit - it's just to make sure she's not getting dehydrated.

My dog was sick for 1 day and I rushed her to the emergancy vets the second day because I thought it was from the food, which it was. it wasnt parvo or anyother doggie illness. but when you do get there ask for a parvo test. if she hasnt had her shots. don't wait though cause it does sound like she ate something bad! my dog is better now and she was sick for 5 days. when I brought her home from the vets I stayed by her side and spoon fed her liquids, she'd vomit it up a few hours later and I'd do it again, small ammounts are better then bigger. offer her foods like rice and beef or rice and chicken and cottage cheese. Also suggest what I did and that was get flavourless pedyalite and I mixed that in with her water. hope she is alright and don't let these people punk you like they did me. Clear vomit: caused by saliva that comes from the stomach. If blood is present it is due to irritation if you changed her food that could be it, if she ate too much people food she can have sensitive stomach or it can be parvo if you didnt get her her shots. take her in, don't wait!

My dog was dehydrating too. The vet had to give her a shot to hydrate her. As for the black stuff, it sounds like blood. You need to take your dog to an emergency vet as soon as possible. If all the vet hospitals are closed and you know of any vets in your area that make house calls try calling them. Don't let this go any longer.

It sounds like your dog has Parvo virus.
Go to this website.
http://www.BuyParvaid.com/fromme2u316
I used this teas when my puppies had it and it works.
give it to the dog with a syringe or eye dropper
Emergency Tea Ingredients
The following ingredients can be found in most major supermarkets with pharmacies:
1 cup of Pedialyte or Oat Water (electrolyte fluid)
2 tea bags of herbal Peppermint with Spearmint tea (a good source is Bigelow's Mint Medley). If the mixture is not available, find peppermint and spearmint teas separately and use 1 tea bag of each. If only one is available (e.g. Peppermint) use 2 tea bags. DO NOT GET TEA THAT CONTAINS CAFFEINE.
2 teabags of chamomile tea. DO NOT GET TEA THAT CONTAINS CAFFEINE.
2 capsules of Echinacea. (This can usually be found in the vitamin section near the pharmacy.)
2 teaspoons of finely chopped garlic. This needs to be fresh garlic, not dry. Garlic packaged in a jar sitting in water or oil is suitable. If your puppy has worms increase the garlic to 2 tablespoons.
Note:
If you are using the tea in addition to Parvaid in an attempt to control nausea, you should remove the garlic from the recipe.
Preparing The Emergency Tea
Heat 1 cup of Pedialyte or Oat Water until it is hot, but DO NOT BOIL IT.
Add 2 tea bags of mint tea, 2 tea bags of chamomile tea, empty 2 capsules of Echinacea, and add 2 teaspoons of fresh garlic.
Stir it well and let it cool for 20 minutes.
Animal Weight Tea
Under 3 lbs. 1 Teaspoon
4 - 10 lbs. 2 Teaspoons
11 - 20 lbs. 1 Tablespoon
21 - 30 lbs. 2 Tablespoons
31 - 40 lbs. 3 Tablespoons
41 - 50 lbs. 4 Tablespoons

i'm not sure about the black vomit. but alot of the time when a dog is sick with parvo or any other sickness and he is throwing up he NEEDS TO BE REHYDRATED! HE WILL DIE FROM LACK OF NUTRIENTS. GO TO THE STORE AND BUY SOME PEDIALITE IN THE BABY SECTION FOR ABOUT 5-7 DOLLARS. YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED 2 AT LEAST. FEED YOUR DOG THIS PEDIALITE WITCH CONTAINS ELECTROLITES SO HE DOES NOT DEHYDRATE. FEED IT TO HIM WITH A BASTING SYRINGE WITH TIP REMOVED OR WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU TO GET IT DOWN HIS THROAT. GIVE IT TO HIM EVERY TIME YOU GET A CHANCE NO LESS THEN 30 MINUTES APART. AND HURRY UP! THE DOG IS DEHYDRATING AS YOU READ AGAIN HURRY HURRY.
