Christ gives peace not as the world gives .....so if we want an amplified version of the worlds peace from God we are way off base on understanding God
Christ gives joy unspeakable ....so if we want an amplified version of the worlds joy, we are wanting God to bless us spiritually as the world does and He will not do so...no wonder there is so much anxiety.
The love of Christ is not self serving or even self satisfying...it sacrifices all for others to glorify God not us..very nerve wracking at times.

Well, I'm a christian who knows stressed, angry christians...they are definitely out there. I think they make the most noise so sometimes get the most attention. Then again I know stressed, angry people from all walks of life.
I think people that miss the point of life end up stressed and angry. Period. Even christians who's God promises peace, love and joy can end up stressed and angry when they are missing the point.

That is a question with a lot of variables. Maybe the Christians that you are referencing would be even more stressed and angry without God. Maybe they say that they are Christians but don't really have God in their heart. Maybe they aren't following God's teachings and just expect a miracle for nothing. Maybe everybody you know appears stressed and angry to you. Maybe they work in a high stress environment and are more focused on the bad things then on God.

I am not stressed or angry right now.
I do get stressed at work with all of the paperwork involved.
Stress is a part of life.
My life is peaceful, joyful, and full of love most of the time.
Do you know of ANYONE who is happy and full of joy 100% of the time?

They (we) shouldn't be stressed and angry ( John14:27) but we are human too. Part of it is because believers particularly are in an immense spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12). The devil does all he can to steal the believers peace & joy. We must fight it with all we have but we all will have our times of weakness where we cave.

I think that what that means is God brings peace, love, and joy because of him existing and all of the blessings he gives us. Just because he brings those things doesn't necessarily mean that we will always be that! He doesn't just change our moods. He doesn't even always expect us to be happy. We all have problems and challenges in our life that he gives us to test our faith and help to strengthen ourselves. We choose to be happy, and if we focus on all of the things he gives us, and all the things we DO have instead of don't have, we can be that, just like God so genuinely wants us to be!

If they are, it's because they are still humans. No one except God is perfect. However God is working on us, but it's still a lifetime process that ends in Heaven.
