I called the vet and they said to give him mineral oil but I looked around the stores and I can't seem to find any. Any other suggestions?

No my dog is 3 years old he is a calm little thing just lays around mainly all day all he chews is his toys. And there all soft or squeaky balls. He's a terrior/poodle mix and he only threw up twice.

That's a worrying combination and may indicate a blockage in his stomach. Are any of his toys missing? Don't wait too long before getting him x-rayed if he doesn't improve soon.

If he is throwing up,you shouldn't give him mineral oil.If there's a blockage,it could kill him. Also,if you try to put it directly into his mouth,he could inhale it and develop a very serious pneumonia.Never give mineral oil unless it is mixed with food.A safer thing to try would be an infant glycerin suppository,If the dog doesn't have a bowel movement soon, and keeps vomiting, you'd better get it to a vet,to make sure it's not a blockage. But ,try the suppository first.

If I was you I would go to the vet and get the dog some worm medicine because it seems like your dog has worms. When it does number two get a stick and skim through its scat if you see something white and kind of long then your dog has worms. Also the worms can be curly so if you see and white worms in your dogs scat then you should get him some worm medicine a.s.a.p. The symptoms of a dogs with worms are throwing up, gagging, being constipated, or eating alot of grass.

is this a dog who likes to "chew" things? could he/she have swallowed something? Keep an eye on your pup, but don't wait too long to call the vet
