get your foot on the floor and stand. putting pressure on that leg usually makes the pain go away.

You stand on it, if it is your leg, which it usually is, it will take the cramp and the pain out almost immediately...now, you need to be taking extra potassium and also calcium) Seriously, I have leg cramps at night when I forget to take my potassium...and what I just suggested works..oh, by the way, I just saw on tv that quinine (which has been prescrbed for years for just that) is an un approved drug...just thought that I would throw that in in case you were thinking of going to a dr and getting a RX

You should never rub the area in case a clot is present. You do not want to dislodge a clot. The best thing to do is flex the foot back and forth - as soon as you are brave enough walk it out. You should also have your potassium level checked. This maybe what is causing the cramps.

It hurts, but stretch it the opposite direction to get the cramp to go away. I suffered from these, too! Also, eat bananas for the potassium. It's supposed to help. Good luck!

eat a bananna daily or take a potassium supplement daily and eat some salt daily and drink some water every day and this leg cramping will go away forever. and i dont know of any pain fix except grabbing it and screaming which does every little than share your pain with anyone in auditory reach.

This oftentimes happens because of the fact a man or woman is dehydrated or because of the fact the guy quickly depleted magnesium interior the muscle tissue as a results of over-use. Boosting fluids and stretching are oftentimes sufficient to surrender this, yet specifically circumstances a magnesium supplement at bedtime is critical. Magnesium is the electrolyte it particularly is critical to make muscle tissue relax. many human beings mistakenly characteristic this concern to a scarcity of potassium, which isn't authentic - potassium is critical for muscle tissue to contract.

some times leg cramps, or sometimes called a charlie horse, can be caused by lack of potassium. Eat a banana, or drink some Gatorade (sp?)

rubbing your leg or getting up and trying to walk it off. there could be an underlying condition which makes you get frequent cramps though, you should definatly get it checked out.
