I would think it would point out the beauty of Nature not god.

What do you think?

God Created Nature? Isn't that a huge jump from assumption to conclusion? Without any citing of evidence?

Oh too much assumption is jumping around, Nature is not perfect. If it was why is there mutations in the world? Two headed turtles? Species dying in our lifetime?

Firstly, "look around" is not a question :-)

Secondly, yes you are right. Anyway, you know what they say, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder....So I guess I'd rather say everyone sees themselfs when they look around... When you're happy everything's bright, when you're unhappy everything's grey...

Why do you wast your time thinking about proof of God, you had better spend the time getting your self together, the time is very short, prophecy is being fulfilled now, the gospel of the kingdom, is being preached in all the world. All the different religions, are about to be combind into one big religion. The true God's religion is the little Church, not seen every where. God is not out there trying to get you to believe in His, You can keep on sinning . God's people are in this world , but not a part of it. They love you , but they will not be a part with sinners, They fellowship with each other.

Nature is beautiful, and is here because God created it. Every thing, didn't just happen. or decided to begin all by itself.
Read Job 28.

No. It assumes the capacity to understand what one is seeing.

To see the amazing complexity of everyday things all around us takes reason and observation. The microscopic components of a small leaf is infinitively complex. It did not come about by accident. If it did, science would have done it better by now. Yet they have not made the simplest cell.

Where we are in this solar system is also proof. Our earth is the exact orbit for life to exist about the sun. Tilted on its axis 23.5% is perfect for seasons so all earth can be inhabited. One degree off would cause our collective death. Our moon is exactly the right size and place to provide tides and the water cycle we need for life.

When one "looks around" it must be with the brain active.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I see not only the beauty in nature but the Creator of it. Man can and has made many imitations but nothing can compare to the real thing. I for one never cease to marvel at the creation and birth of a child.
If you are not in tune with God, I guess you wont appreciate creation. It's a feeling, a Love you feel in your heart.

God is intelligent, besides is nature just something that happened? God is the creator of all things, even Satan. You can't look at what we refer to as nature and not relize that God, a higher power, had a hand in weaving all together. I don't waste my time trying to convert, or to force God on people. I tell my own story, and believe in the Bible. I'll play it safe and believe, (because that is my choice.) What others do is their life, whether it be eternal heaven, or eternal hell. No problem for me. God's word is there, those that do not wish to read it, whatever. People shouldn't be infantile, and have to have their hand held. God's word is sacred, and we are to learn how to live by reading it. My choice is to do that, others can do what they please. I'm taking the road to eternal life.

If you belive that God created nature, than yes it is proof. If not, then you probably just see a beautiful coinsidince. I prefer to look at the beauty of nature as proof that God loves us, and that He created this for a purpose.

Are you a scientist?...the last time I checked, God wanted us to accept him without him having to physically jump out and say "boo". I do believe that nature is proof of God...why else would it exist in perfect harmony with us?

I suppose it doesn't matter how much I try to explain it to other people who won't accept my opinions, the truth is, people are going to believe what they want to and what makes the most sense to them. If that means that they don't accept God as the creator of them and everything around them, then they don't accept it. If they do, bully for them, I'll see 'em in heaven.

In and of itself, I agree with you. It's way too simple an answer.

I think when people use that argument, they are trying to express an uncomprehending awe at the balance and perfection and complexity of the universe and say "only one who is God could cause all this to come into being."

Not to say that I agree or disagree, there are many better arguments within philosophy for the existence of god. I would not expect any reasonable person to accept "just look around" to satisfy their burden of proof on the existence of god.

Every thing you see in nature can be shown to have developed by changes over the years explainable by science.Nature in it's self is beautiful and no one designed it.
