I bought two kittens from a breeder. She seem a bit evasive about knowing things about the kittens personalities,I thought that she would be a good breeder because she is well known through this breeds affiliate programs,I looked up thethe name of her catery on the net and shes listed every where. We agreed that I would pick up the kittens on the 29th,after12:00.I got instructions to her house off of yahoo answers. When I got to her town I called her number, no answer so I just went to her house,I had a hard time finding it but stoped to talk to a neighbor who informed me that she had moved.I went to the house any way.The place was empty of any people, the house was in pretty poor shape and the door was left open.I didnt knock on it but it looked like no one lived there. But what I found that scares me is that this person has a run down trailer on there land and there are at least 5 of these cats shute in this trailer. Its been 6 house since I left a mesage I paid in full. What should I do

Oh my dear. This woman has committed a felony. Call the police and file a report. It's fraud and you can file suit against her. Call animal control as well to get those poor kitties out of that abondoned house before they starve to death. They may even let you keep the ones you want as opposed to taking up room at the shelter. She can be tracked down by the authorities and prosecuted for her crime. And it is a crime. Call the cops immediatly!!

Report her to HER local police department. It's highly likely that she is a "collector" of animals and cannot afford to take care of them all. Most likely she's not taking care of the cats/kittens she DOES have. This doesn't look like a good scenario for you to get either 2 HEALTHY kttens or your money back from her.

My advice: Chalk this one up to a learning experience and get yourself a "FREE to good home" kitten(s) from anyone in the newspaper. There's always plenty up for adoption that way, and they really need a good home too.

You can take the problem to small claims court if you can locate the breeder.

Don't ever take anyone's word about a breeder. It is extremely important that you go to the home where the kittens were born and access the conditions there for sanitation and health of the breeding cats.

Call either a cat organisation (in Australia it is the RSPCA but not sure for other countries) or you could call the police and they will be able to tell you the correct people to call for this.

File a report with the police. Money was sent and nothing was delivered--it's fraud and they need to have a report about it on file.

It may be possible to ask at the post office about her change of address.

call the humane society, they will take the cats if they think that they're in bad shape.
