People who are considered a immediate danger to themselves or others can be hospitalized, not people who are simply depressed.
Think of depression like any other illness. You would go to the doctor if you couldn't see well, or had stomach pains, or headaches all the time, right? Doctors are there to make you well- physically and mentally healthy. You owe it to yourself to get help feeling better. Talk to whoever you feel comfortable with- your parents/guardians, school counselors, even your family doctor. They can help you decide what to do next.
The important thing is that help does exist and you can feel more like yourself again.
If you are afraid that you may cause yourself harm, you must talk to someone immediately. You don't have to feel this way, and there are people around you who want to help.

depression does not mean that you are going to be hospitalized unless you tell them that you have intentions of hurting yourself or someone else. it is a good idea to tell someone about your feelings they can get you some help and some therapy. you may need to see a doc and they may try you on some meds. you should also tell your parents. they can help too. hope this helps

Highly unlikely! Generally, that only happens when someone attempts suicide or is failing to respond to a number of different meds and needs doses above what's authorized as an out patient.
Talk. It's safe, and it's very healthy.

I doubt they would hospitalize you. I think they may get a counselor to see you and if they thought you could benefit by medication, they will make a referral out of the school with your parents permission.

Hmm...I don't think that hospilization is the first thing people jump too. Could you try talking to your guidance counsler at school, or even calling a hotline? Hell, you could even e-mail me. I'll listen. Feeling down can really suck, and sometimes when you feel down, you might feel like no one values what you have to say. Those feelings are ok. Sometimes, even writing it down to yourself works, so that you can go over what you wrote and see exactly what it is that your feeling. Hope I helped.

no, they will not hospitalize you. Please DO tell someone. There are a lot of reasons why you could be depressed and there are a lot of ways to relieve if not cure the depression. (HUG) I have been there. It is worth it to have help.

Talk to your school counselor or if they offer in-school therapist...you do not have to suffer alone.
