What important historical experiences of the Hebrews help us to understand the story of the Tower of Babel?

The tower of Babel WAS a stargate.

The Tower of Babel was an attempt on the part of man to reach God, by building a tower so tall that it reached heaven.
The significance of this event, is that there is only one way to reach God, and that is to allow Him into your life. He stands outside the door of your life. There is no handle on his side of the entrance, just on the inside where you are. He knocks, but you have to let Him in.
