Prudential Center, New Jersey - Eating places in the area?

Question

We are going to a concert at the above in November and will be coming across from Manhattan. Does anybody know of any restaurants in the area, as close as possible to the Arena. We don't really want fast food (such as McD, Burger King etc) but not really looking for anything too fancy either - a good Italian, steakhouse or Chinese restaurant maybe?

We thought it would be a good idea to come across early and eat before the concert rather than trying to eat before we get the train from Manhattan.

There are some nice restaurants in the area, but they are spanish & portuguese mostly. I am sure that there are others around, but I cannot say I've been there.
Don Pepe on McCarter Highway (Route 21) is probably going to be closest and most convenient that I could recommend.
Another good place I've been to is Iberia Peninsula Restaurant on Ferry Street.
