Because we have lost our independence, wouldn't that be against what god wanted? Before you answer, Why did we want our independence again.....I forgot. It had something to do with being taxed to death and dictated over didn't it. Well I think we are back to square one. Yea this question most likely belongs somewhere else, but no one hangs out over there. so thanks for your thoughts.

You are right we did fight for our Independence because we were being taxed without representation. But you left out religious freedom. The Supreme Court is only supposed to rule on the laws passed by congress they are not to be making laws from the bench. Because of some of the past decisions we are loosing our right to practice our religion.

From all of humanity God handiest needs a hundred and forty four thousand humans. So of all of the 100s of billions of humans that experience ever lived in this earth, handiest approximately a million in a million million (conservatively) will cross to heaven. Everyone else will get tortured perpetually...Not an overly well luck cost for an omniscient being

It would seem to me that it is the people, not God who are responsible for our loss of freedom. The people in a democracy get what they vote for. We as a nation have become greedy and self centered and that is what our politicians reflect.

As long as I've been alive I have never seen god give the OK for anything. And I certainly distrust anybody who says they have.
