"Cocina" as a noun is "kitchen" or "cuisine"

The verb is "cocinar" and the conjugation of the 3rd person singular is "cocina" = "Él/ella cocina".

Also, talking about food that is being cooked, or is cooking, you say "(la verdura) se cocina". Again, 3rd person singular but it's Passive Voice in Spanish with the pronoun 'se'.

"Cocina" is also the imperative for 'tú': "Cook now!" .. "¡cocina ahora!"

"¡Tú!.. ¡cocina ahora la cocina francesa en la cocina donde ella cocina!" = "You!.. cook now the French cuisine in the kitchen where she is cooking (or she cooks)!".

EDIT: "he/she/it cooked" would be "cocinó" (preterite) or "cocinaba" (imperfect),

Make sure you pronounce it CoSeena. If you pronounce it CoCHeena, you're calling a woman a derogatory name. The above answer is correct. Just wanted to make sure you don't pronounce it like I did one time. Thankfully we were at home and my husband was there to correct me as I read to our daughter in Spanish.
My husband speaks fluent Spanish.
