Regrettably, (in UK) how the system works in practice is that the accused person needs to provide evidence, eg an alibi, to prove that the police and hostile witness evidence is false. Otherwise he is jailed because the average Joe on the jury thinks 'He must have done something wrong or he wouldn't have been arrested'.

EVIDENCE HAS TO BE TESTED FOR A VALIDITY--

TRUTHFULNESS, RELEVANCY, FACTS, TESTIMONY, WEIGHT AND CREDIBILITY THEN YOU HAVE THE OTHER SIDE OF EVIDENCE AS:

CHARACTER, WRONGS, ACTS, IRRELEVANCY, PROING CHARACTER, HABIT OR ROUTINE PRACTICES,

HUSBAND WIFE, COUNSELOR CLIENT, PRIEST-PETITIONER, INFORMER

ALL THESE WEIGH INTO WHAT CAN BE ADMITTED AS EVIDENCE OR NOT

REAL EVIDENCE IS TANGIBLE-YOU CAN SEE FELL TOUCH IT-INTANGIBLE IS WORDS OR STATEMENTS

HEARSAY IS BEST DESCRIBED AS "A STATEMENT OTHER THEN ONE MADE BY THE DECLARANT WHILE TESTIFYING AT THE TRIAL OR HEARING, OFFERED INTO EVIDENCE TO PROVE THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER ASSERTED"
