I think the G8 nations face a global ethics issue which is long overdue for being adressed. How many Rawanda's and Burma's(Myanmar) do we have to experience before international organizations are willing to wage wars to protect basic human rights. The United Nations needs to move past being solely a discussion forum for ideas and it needs to be held accountability for the good governance of a world torn apart by economic, political, and religious caused disasters.
these religious people don't even read there own bible do you think that they can give advice about Burma(Myanmar). I hope they don't say that prayer will help because there are too many people living through hell over there for this 'inaction' of prayer to be considered.

While Myanmar is the official name, many people still tend to regard "Burma" as the legitimate, more culturally-significant name. Myanmar was the name given by the controversial military junta. Take me for instance - I think the renaming of Burma to Myanmar was nonsense, and still call Saigon by its original name.

Put pressure on them through the UN and for the World's Sake don't be like the Koreans and start sending over Christians to try and convert people. That's just asking for trouble.

Does Myanmar have oil for us to exploit? If not, I don't think our government is all that interested.
