ExO11287, you are an Atheist. You don't have beliefs. That's kind of my point.

Hang on a sec there bub. People who do believe in God get much, much more offended when we atheists choose to express our beliefs. You have it backwards. I have absolutely no problem with people expressing their faith, and most atheists don't. I think you need to spend a little time reading through some of the recent posts, you'll find that believers are very touchy when it comes to the existence of God. While atheists just laugh and shrug it off.

Edit: Actually I do have beliefs, I believe that God does not exist, that's kind of my point.

A neighbor tried to sue a few people for putting up Christmas decorations and went so far as to have them taken down two years back!

Well the 1st Amendment was hijacked the other day and Now the government is Dictating What is proper Doctrine to Churches, religious groups, Synagogues and Mosques in House Bills 254, 984 and 2015 and attached it to the Defense Bill. Two women in their seventies are in jail in Pennsylvania and facing 47 year sentences each for passing out tracts under a similar State Bill called 254 there...Such love of Country and faithfulness to Democracy. Have a lovely day. What's next on the menu of persecution?

I think it is not the mere "display" of our faith that is the problem. I think it is the pushing it on them as though we are some kind of Christo-Nazi and not just accepting that they don't want what Jesus Christ offers. I have never been publicly accosted by any non-believer and doubt that I ever will be. I think influencing by demonstration is a far better attracting quality than force.

I am outraged that my tax dollars get wasted for someone else's stupid display of faith. I am outraged that our legal, medical, and political systems are all too often contaminated with the irrational beliefs of those who pathetically cling to primitive superstition. I am outraged that so many nations around the world are beating us in terms of scientific and technological progress just because the loud mouths of the "god goons" succeed as much as they do in trying to pull all of us back into the Dark Ages with their idiotic dogma.

For the most part, I'm okay with a display of faith. But you see, I'm not mooning them or flipping them off or berating them for their display of faith.

On the other hand, when I put a "cat-fish" and a "science" fish on my car, I got all of the above and more... honking, keyed "heathen" in the paint of my car, etc.

Should I be offended by their display... no. But neither should they take out their frustrations about god on ME, either.

I'm not offended by people displaying their faith. I'm offended by people who try and display their faith through the government and influence public policy whether most people affected by it share their beliefs or not.

I don't know. This is a free country, in which freedom of speech is our right. We can choose to publicly display our faith as long as we don't push it on others. Displaying faith is alot better than displaying immorality as seen in the media. God bless.

Because, to me, displaying your religious faith and beliefs as Truth is truly Ignorant.

Because religious people cause a lot of problems for the sane ones.

Having the largest arsenal in the world run by a country with the motto - 'In God we Trust' - is just plain scary for anyone with a brain that works.

Just imagine if it was 'In Allah we Trust'

Not so much offended as annoyed. And I get annoyed because religion gives humanity a bad name.
