My daughter-in-law has been on Lexapro for 5 months or more and she has become a real witch biting everybody's head off.
On Monday out of the clear blue sky she asked my son for a divorce.

I see my doctor once a month to talk about my medications. I was on Lexapro but now I'm taking Effexor.

My sister has been on Lexapro plus eight or so other medications and her doctor wants to see her every three weeks. However, it is more of a personal case. If its severe depression she needs to be seen more often than not. Likewise, if she is on them just to get her over a "hump" (like a death in the family) then she needs to be seen less often. I would say atleast every 6 weeks no matter what the case whether it is severe or mild depression.
