What do they both do?
And Which 1's Better?

i would go with frostwire
its from the makers of limewire but its cleaner and faster
bearshare requires ur name and info like that
but frostwire doesnt:

As I have been saying for months Frostwire, skater is correct. Frostwire was developed by the inventor of limewire, and is an improved version of limewire. Limewire is part of the gnutella network which if being watched by the RIAA frostwire is not. Safer, faster, better, would go with that. WIth any download program there is the risk of a virus, to minimize this do not downloud those songs you are looking for that say track 1 of etc, go only with the actual title check out the available downloads, if there are 15 or so that have the same amount there is a problem, if you have a good connection you only need 2-3 host to download in less than a minute, and is less risky. caution is always advised.

limewire
bearshare isn't as fast and not as many hits
frostwire isn't by limewire it's a rip off from some hackers and you can loose all the music you have stored on pc it's been happening in the last few days there's been reports of many people loosing there complete store of files
wouldn't be surprised if that is what was intended to be done by some governing body
personally i use utorrent absolutely the bollox
and i get my torrents from mininova website

Never heard of Bearshare but have got viruses a plenty from Limewire- avoid like the plague if i were you!

Limewire gives you virus's if theres a programme that they are going to try and trace to arrest people then its prob limewire its also full of allkinds of junk you won't be aware of like spyware.
If you get the old version of bareshare like 5.5 lite its very good you don't have to put in your details either.
I would look into buying music off the net cheaply though.
Run regular virus scans and stuffs.

I have no idea what Bearshare is but I know that I love limewire... Its so awesome

Stay away from both; they are full of spyware apps, and you can get caught downloading music by the RIAA.

neither you are likely to end up with all kinds of spyware and malware,
Frankly this kind of activity is never 100% safe but I say you'll be better with emule

neither they both come with problems try slsknet.org its a p2p program called soulseek its very good for music
