Well my mom happened to have been one of those "ooops-pregnant brides" She got pregnant while engaged and planning the wedding. This was 1968! And trust me in those times she WAS the topic of gossip. But she held her head high and didn't bother her one bit.

Guess what? 3 kids and 3 grandkids later, they are STILL married! (While all teh others are divorced) My parents have an awesome marriage. We're starting to plan their 40th anniversary party soon.

My impression? Well even these days, there are guests who will raise their eyebrows (as shown by the sample of answers on here). So I like seeing a bride with the confidence to walk down the aisle pregnant, I think it says a lot about her values. When the baby is born, mommy and daddy will already be married and it will be a family. And while it is obvious (in most cases), I dont think the pregnancy detracts from the main event of the day- the marriage.

I only knew one--it ended in divorce. I really disagree with marrying only becasue she's pregnant. We've been planning our wedding since February, and if got were to get pregnant now, I'd not change a thing about our plans, so I'd probably be obviously pregnant b then...I don't think it says anything necessarily bad about the bride.

What makes me laugh is the fact that all these answers have just presumed that the couple married because the bride is pregnant. MAYBE they just love each other, got engaged, and then decided to have a baby.

How u all say i am not judgemental i have no problem with marrying just cos she is pregnant, well who ever said that was the reason?!

lol sorry that just made me a bit angry :p

The gowns rarely look good with the bump, but that's my only problem. I don't care if they get married or not. My favorite part of any wedding is the gown so, I'm not big on maternity wear, since it seems to be an area of fashion that is largely ignored.

The first thought I have is "Shot gun wedding"
This was an unexpected pregnancy and maybe the family pressured them to marry or the couple thought it was a good idea for whatever reasons

a pregnant woman is a person too and getting married while pregnant is saying alot.
the fact that her body is changing so much and he is willing to go down the aile with her like that is saying I love you in any way shape or form.
I think that that is very sacred and sensual. pregnant women glow and they are always pretty and well put together.
so i am all for it

I was 4 months pregnant at our wedding. We were planning it later in the year but just bought it forward. I dont think that I looked that bad. In fact I looked pretty damn hot.

I don't have one. Do you think I should? I figured it was none of my business nor right to pass judgment on someone.

I would hope that she chose a dress the complements her current figure. A bride should always look her best on her wedding day.

Putting the cart before the horse. Though for the most part I'm non-judgemental about it. The couple could have been engaged for a year or more and 'OOPS I'm pregnant' happens while planning the wedding.
