If it was only meant for theists, surely Yahoo would have put a notice somewhere. It's like some people hate that fact that some people have different views on religion.
Just because I don't believe in a God, does that mean that I can't be intrested in religion, that I know nothing about religion or that I can't have a view on religion?
Also, imagine how much hassle we are saving the fundies in their propaganda spreading duties. This way they can post all of their "Jesus loves you, will you accept his love, or will you burn in hell?" questions in one section, saving lots of time.

harshmistress: Yes, all is subjective, but surely opinion from the rational mind of a human does hold some weight as it has originated from posteriori knowledge. Mail me if you want to discuss further.

lol. How Christian of you to want to save the fundies some time and effort in their brainwash.... er, I mean proselytizing efforts.
Another reason they get their panties is a wad is because atheists and other non-fundies say things that make them think, and most of the fundamentalists I know have an aversion to thinking that is stronger than a slug's aversion to table salt.

I'm not bitter about Atheists visiting this section, asking or answering questions. I just get a little disappointed at the ones who just want to bash our beliefs instead of showing the respect that they are asking from us Christians. And the bashing does not always come from just atheists.
I welcome debates but I do not like the hatred that can often be shown from both sides of the debate.
God bless :-)

The anger and bitterness comes from the fact that atheists (and other non-christians) bring up ideas and topics that they don't want to think about because it makes them question what they've been told to believe. Thinking is BAD.

Christians have a hard time adjusting since the period of the Inquisition ended. It was so much easier just to burn 'em at the stake or rack 'em. Most, not all fortunately, only want total agreement for their supernatural beliefs.

I don't have a problem with christians in R&S! what I have a problem with is being attacked for what I believe! If I am not attacked, I won't attack! It's that simple! and I make my point below;;
Linda W? Grand Canyon is still waiting for you, and your opinions!

Well, Christians are always saying that Jesus told them they would be persecuted for his sake. I am merely helping that prophecy along.
I don't know what they get their knickers in a knot. Maybe they don't like having all those sneaky inconsistencies pointed out to them?

I'm delighted you're here. Please, encourage all your atheist friends to drop by.
I think it is likely that at least some of you will find your way back to God eventually, and perhaps something said on R&S will help in that regard.

If theists want to talk amongst themselves, there are more guarded places than Yahoo! Maybe they just haven't found them yet?

Some people don't like the fact that we just don't see eye to eye with them, I suppose.
