How can I avoid getting hit by someone that is shooting at me from 5 metres?

Meaning that the weapon is too far away for me to grab..

it's called the fatal funnel. most people can't hit a target that is moving at them with in 17 feet (I thinnk this is the distance). Continue to close with the individual, use a knife disable once with in striking distance and hope he is not effective with Close Quarter Combat.

You should of nailed him before he even had the chance to take a shot at you. If you don't have a weapon in the first place, you better pray that he's not a good shot.

You pray that he's a bad shot, a really bad shot. Hope the dude will close his eyes when he shoots. But if you want to hear doctrine doctrine....... You always return fire and find cover. If there is no cover, drop to the ground, away from line of fire.

Most inexperienced shooter's will blink ( so watch their eyes ) or flinch ( also watch their hand ) a little just before pulling the trigger, they also will brace for the recoil and if right handed will shot a little to the left so move right.

That depends entirely on the weapon and the shooter. Not to mention your environment and how fast you can move.
