Yes, religion is a human invention, while science is actually proof. Fr example, religion said that the Earth was the center of the universe. Galileo used science to prove that actually the sun, not the earth, was the center of the universe, and by universe he meant galaxy.
Also, in the words of Voltaire, "If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him."

The data of science will be true (within the constraints set by the experimental design), but the organizing principles used to draw conclusions (paradigm) may be lacking.
Both science and religion are human inventions.

First part: yes.
Second part: not really. Science is a method of finding out things about the universe, but it's not really built into the structure of reality - it is very much a human invention. It may be that there is another way of seeing the universe which is even more accurate and meaningful.

Our beliefs are not based on a few books. But thousands of years of human experiences.
It took me a long time to stop blaming religion because humans use it as a means to puff themsleves with false pride. Just like sexism, racism and nationalism. But false pride is an artificial way to overcome the bad feelings within, that others lay on us.
Despite human ego trips, religion is just the practical application of spiritual concepts into our lives. When you do something religiously, it is done routinely. Things like associating with postive people. Reading and listening to motivational and inspirational material. And prayer, which keeps the lines of communication open to the Higher Worlds. No easy task.

both science and religion are ways of answering questions.
religion may seem less 'worthy' because, unlike science, it looks outside of logic to answer its questions. most of the facts in religious scriptures seem nonsensical because they can't be proved.
however, religious followers believe these facts because they have trust in a higher metaphysical being. this faith gives them happiness. religion gives religious believers as much of a sense of life's purpose and happiness as science gives to scientists. is that so wrong?
also, even if the 'facts' of religion may not be substantial, the moral code behind it is golden. it gives structure to our society and helps us act in a morally good way. morality is something that should be present in all of mankind, be him religious or atheist.
even if religion is an invention, the sense of purpose, happiness and moral structure that it gives us makes it a damn good invention at that!

Science is good science when you can replicate things in the laboratory to prove it is true. I am not saying that I can prove GOD in a laboratory, however. Obviously, you can't! Can science turn an ape into a human by manipulating its genes in a laboratory? I'd like to see science try!!! They will get NOWHERE!!!
GOD bless

I don't agree.
religion and faith reveal to us the spiritual world and the transcendant God.
science teaches us about the natural world through empirical evidence.
spirit and matter are two sides of the same coin. Our Human ingenuity has taught us about both, because God has revealed himself to man. God bless.
