For Blacks the Arabs and European did horrible things to our ancestors, and actually they are still prejudiced, so why would you co-op their religion?

And Native Americans..after what Europeans did to your country, why?

Latinos think they are white, so I won't even question them.

I'm sure I'm going to hear about a "merciful god."

People of African descent, Oludomare, Obatala, Oshun and Yemaya are merciful. So if you are going to believe in a diety, why would you not believe in one of your ancestors?

I've always wondered why a people who were enslaved, murdered, and oppressed would KEEP the religion of their slavemasters, after they are freed.

Why don't they go back to their own religious and spiritual heritages? I don't know the answer to that, but it's something I've been curious about too.

We (Jews) were forcibly converted by Christians many times, and even so lots of us kept our religious beliefs and traditions even when we had to practice them in secret.

Those of us who did that were called Conversos, or more racistly "marranos", which means "pigs".

Today many, many Jews all across Mexico whose ancestors came from Spain, Portugal and other areas where we were forcibly converted, are now coming OUT of Christianity and back to Judaism. There has been a huge movement among this population.

Why hasnt the same thing happened among the blacks in North America?

your claims simply are not true and trying to tie it to slavery is not just racist but wholly ignorant since the majority of christians were white! The churches own figures show only 28% ever attend church in a year. Indeed if 28% ever tried to attend church on the same day, even working shifts, there is simply not enough churches! But count the bars - in many places there is more space In the bars than the churches! Count all the seats in every church in a town and compare that to the population and it is very unlikely to achieve even 5%! This is true right through the bible belt and in Salt Lake City! As for Islam try to even find a mosque in most places!

Explain to me what the Arabs did to the Black people? Sure the blacks were slaves at one point before Muhammad(PBUH*) but the Prophet(PBUH*) told the people to set their slaves free and treat them as they would treat other people. There is no racism in Islam. Everyone is equal in Islam. As to Native Americans joining Islam I personally have yet to meet a Native America who reverted to Islam. If they revert to Islam then that is because they see it is the truth. Arabs did not go killing off the Native American people. That was the Europeans in their quest for the Manifest Destiny and to forcefully convert the "heathens" to Christianity so they could be "saved". Which was very wrong. My husband has a little Sudanese in him from his grandmother but he is Saudi. He is not racist to black people. Islam doesn't allow racism and neither do real Christians.

When one society is defeated by another, the victorious society usually assimilates them into their fold (like how Germany was divided up after WWII, East and West, Communist and Democratic, American and Russian, sort of thing) And that is what happened, after the Europeans defeated these myriad of civilizations, they made them their own in a way, converting and all that, and eventually you come to today, where a LOT of blacks are Christian, while a majority of Native Americans that I hear of follow at least some of their original practices, but still some do follow Christianity...it's all a convoluted path I know...but I hope I helped somehow and I know a lot of Christians don't like this but I have just twelve words to say to them: "Suck it, it's my opinion, you have your own, I have mine!"

Apparently you know nothing about CHRISTIANITY or it's roots. Right after the death of Christ there was a large scale attempt that was successful to spread the christian way through Europe and other continents. Christianity preaches no racism or prejudice to its followers. Christians during the middle ages helped feed and clothe all varieties of sick people to show the "Mercy" Christ does have. Take a western civ course.

As far a Christianity goes, Christianity doesn't belong to any earthly sect of people. Christianity is following Christ Jesus and salvation through Christ Jesus, NO HUMAN CAN DICTATE THIS. Jesus invites ALL.

YOU are about the most racist person I have seen on here in a while. You obviously are ignorant to what Christianity even is. If you call yourself a Christian, I highly suggest that you go back and actually read God's word and find out what his message to his children is. You do not know based on your own words that express no understanding or concept of it.

Because when two civilizations crash and war against each other, the winner will transmit their belief to the looser, either violently or by indirect influence. The looser will adopt their beliefs because of fear and would pass it to their children for fear, but still they are going to pass some of their old beliefs. When some new generations have passed, the old beliefs are lost completly because its people have accept them, fear is replaced by true faith, and once that happens they try to convert the ones that haven't.
In some cases the old beliefs are never lost, for example in Latin America, there are still people who practice the old beliefs in combinations with the Christian beliefs. If you see some churches in Latin America, you might notice that there are symbols not proper from european christinanism but from the native peoplem its a mergure of civilizations.

So all Europeans are Christians and all Arabs are Muslim? Blacks and native Americans are intelligent enough to search out their own beliefs without basing their beliefs on prejudices about certain races or nationalities and what they have done in the past (or present)..
Are you?

for black arabs did horrible things, think about what you said, THE ARABS not the MUSLIMS, learn about the early history of islam and the Africans in early History of islam. The man that was nicknamed The Beloved of the Prophet, Zaid ibn Harath, was BLACK, he was beloved by Muhammad PBUH, the prophet when asked about who to marry told blacks to marry arabs, and told the arabs to marry the blacks
