I just met them - within a week - and I didn't feel like answering my phone last night and this morning. The result: I had over 10 missed calls and 5 voicemail messages. My only response was a sarcastic one saying "ummm - yeah if you call once, I will eventually see it..." What would you do/say?

Well you can take it two ways one he/she is concerned and was worried when you didnt answer. If this is something out of the norm then I can see why they continued to call. The other thing this person could be a someone that wanted to here your voice. Its hasnt been that long since you met and things are still new so the attraction is there. I think the tone and the reply you gave for not picking up was a little harsh. It might have been simple for you to pick up the phone and say you had a rough day.

Maybe they have really strong feelings for you and like their conversations with you,but I think they are borderline 'extreme' ,I would Say ring and tell them how you feel but this may result in more calls/problems.So is there anyway you can block them,I would want to change my number, but don't want to have to tell everyone I know as it's a burden but if this person keeps bugging you then you may have to.Good Luck!

I'd say...change your number and don't bother telling them not to call back. Sounds like a nut to me.
