He is clearly an anti-semite and prefers the terrorists to Americans. What is the liberal fascination with this sad old man in a sweater?

I lived through the failed Carter years. In case you don't remember the tax rates were the most punitive in history. When my parents bought a house during Mr. Carter's term the interest rare was nearly 20% with good credit. Where do you think the malaise index came from? I am sure most of you educated folks remember the Iranian hostage crisis. Nothing like a weak president to start the whole problem we have with them today! Then to start trying to build a legacy he went to foreign countries and attacked our country and it's leaders. Blamed all of the problems in the middle east on the Jews..wrote a one sided book that the terrorists around the world embrace...I know all about Jimmy Carter's history and it SUCKS!!!!

Because peanuts are still relevant.

Just because Jimmy Carter doesnt support Zionism doesnt mean he hates Jews. ( By the way Anti-Semitism is a pretty broad term. If you dont support the Black Panthers does it mean you hate Blacks? Just because you dont support PETA does it mean you hate pets?)

Jimmy Carter is relevant because he was the first and only US president to broker peace between and Arab nation and Israel. In short, Jimmy Carter is relevant because of the contributions he's made to Middle East peace, he's just concerned about possibilities of Arab-Israeli peace before future generations have to and already have taken up this burden

He is only relavent because he was president 1977-1981.

Other than that, yep I agree with everything that you write. He is more of a skeleton in the closet for the democrats than bush will ever be for the republicans, Did he do anything about anything while he was president, Now he wants to be involved in everything.

Because Jimmy Carter is one of the most honorable men ever to occupy the White House. He brokered peace in the Middle East with diplomacy, not destruction and death.
He devoted the last 444 days of his Presidency to trying to obtain release of American hostages in Iran, even to the point of virtually surrendering his run for re-election.
Even after he left the White House, he 'gave back' to the global community in many ways, including his tireless work with Habitat for Humanity. The world could use more warm, gentle, compassionate people like Jimmy Carter. -RKO- 09/29/07

He allowed the Iranians to hold American citizens and service members hostage for four hundred and forty-four days following their invasion of our embassy in Tehran.

Remember that Jimmy Carter had been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts on promoting global peace and reconciliation.

Carter was always fair in treating all nations. His criticism of Israel's wrongdoings in dealing with the Arab world doesn't mean that he is anti-semitic.

Maybe you should ask this question in the history section and learn all that Jimmy Carter achieved during his presidency.

Good question. I'm from Georgia and I'm ashamed he was ever our governor and later president. I remember thinking why would anyone in their right mind ever vote for this flake for anything. He stopped being relevant before he was sworn into his first political office.
