I've seen astounding progress made with autistic individuals with many different therapies. I'm very skeptical of anyone being "cured" of autism. I'm not saying it isn't possible. But according to my research, it's very unlikely.

There is no cure for Autism, currently, that is. There are many therapies and interventions that have been found to be helpful for teaching children with Autism skills that they need to function in life.

If the intervention is early and intensive, then the child with Autism has a good chance of learning the core skils and generalizing these skills so that they can live as close to an independent and fulfilling life as possible.

However, as it stands, there is still nore cure for this disorder.

Now Jenny McCarthy claims that her child has been "healed." I feel that this is misleading. Every child is different, and we do not know how those individual differences played in his life. Jenny's child could have been very high functioning and he could have received early intervention and other skills training. These are all factors that are unknown and could potentially have a big effect on his level of development and functioning

Jenny , you say that your son is healed . That is entirely different than being cured . There is only one way for your son to have been healed and that is by the Lord Jesus Christ intervening and doing the healing . The Bible is full of people who were healed by the power of that name of Jesus Christ . There are countless records of people who have been healed of all sorts of diseases , however you must put your faith to work and believe that God's Word is true . It works , I have been witness to many healing in my lifetime . On the other hand there are treatments that are effective , but long drawn out processes . It is really the choice of the parent to make .
